Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

653169 tn?1303446369 I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.
Avatar f tn Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore. I know it may sound strange but it works really well.

689528 tn?1364135841 I haven't experienced morning sickness yet. (Fingers crossed I don't) At times I'll get like a hot spell and maybe feel a little nauseated but it never lasts longer than a minute. Anyway...was wondering if everyone takes extra vitamin B?! It's supposed to help and while TTC I started taking B50 complex and I am still continuing it. I think this may be why I don't feel sick.....LOL I'll keep ya updated though cuz I'll just be 5 weeks tomorrow!!

473384 tn?1210206242 I have severe OA in my left hip and am scheduled for THR on monday. I am taking oxycontin and percocet (60-90mgs oxy/day and 15-20 mgs perc/day, depending) and have been on these for 1 year (I started with 1 percocet/day, HA! like that was going to last!). 6 months ago I started taking diclofenac (an NSAID) and apparantly it works REALLY WELL for pain b/c I am supposed to stop taking it 7-10 days before surgery b/c of bleeding issues.
1204528 tn?1588786333 You are correct. The usual interactions suggest a decrease in levels of the other drugs taken with carbamazepine. Try searching for 'carbamazepine metabolism' and 'diclofenac metabolism'. It shows that both meds are metabolized by CYP3A4. Diclofenac may decrease levels of CYPA4 (search 'diclofenac inactivation CYP3A4); this could potentially lead to increased levels of carbamazepine.

Avatar n tn - Dry mouth - Hard heartbeat - Jolting awake with heart pounding - Limb tingling - Sense of being off balance - Poor concentration and memory - Fatigue After reading numerous things online, it seems like all of my symptoms could be caused by a vitamin B deficiency. I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor in the next couple days to get some blood tests done, but I'm wondering if any other anxiety sufferers have had their vitamin/mineral levels checked?
Avatar m tn Well, in the B-vitamin I had, I was getting over 3,000 percent of some B-vitamins, and the pill had thiamin, and niacin, and other nuerological minerals needed for the body, but I was getting too much. On top of that, if my body didn't feel good...or felt excessively tired, I took my typical vitamin....just because I thought, since I have EBV I really need to make up for it.
Avatar n tn I tested HIV negative by RNA and AB/AG test at 12 days and again at 30 days. I have a dull pain (like something pulling) at the lower abdomen right above the penis. It sometimes feels like radiating to the testicle but the testicle itself doesn't pain upon touch. The pain is very dull and comes for a few minutes and then goes away. This pain came nearly 2 weeks post exposure and then went away. Again now I am feeling the same sensation since last couple of days. i am really scared.
Avatar f tn s inflamed tendons and prescribed Diclofenac soldium XR, an anti-inflammatory, twice a day. Wondering if this drug is safe for him to take given hepatitis and Cirrhosis. He has a call back into the PCP to double check before taking it, and I have a call in to his hepatologist to double check before taking it. While waiting for calls back from PCP or hepatologist, wondering if anyone on this forum may know the answer?
Avatar n tn //www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids. So, speak with your doctor, of course, but would advise not to use these together based on the provided information.
Avatar f tn First, welcome to the Weight Loss & Dieting Community and thank you for your question. B-12 shots are not the same as hcg shots. B-12 shots are a vitamin, hcg is a hormone. According to Mayo Clinic, "There's no evidence that vitamin B-12 in any form — including vitamin B-12 injections — enhances weight loss.
Avatar f tn Hi, I posted this question in the Cirrhosis forum, but I thought maybe I'd post it here too, since many members of the Hep C forum also have Cirrhosis. I have a question about an anti-inflammatory medication called Diclofenac for a person with Cirrhosis.

Avatar f tn About 2 weeks ago I went to the doctor complaining of hair loss and tingling in my hands and feet. The doctor ordered blood tests and confirmed that I have a vitamin B deficiency. My ANA also came back positive. I was told to take a complex B vitamin and also go see a rheumatologist. Since taking the vitamins I am still having all of these symptoms and am now worried that the doctor might be right about thinking I have lupus.
Avatar f tn Not a horrible thing, but if heterozygous can cause a problem with homocysteine levels b/c your body cannot absorb Vitamin B and Folic Acid. As they cannot really find an underlying cause for you, I would suggest researching this or asking them to do a simple blood test. Most people never know thay have it as about 50% of caucasians in the US have some variant of the mutation, few feel any symptoms of it, but this could be an underlying cause for you.
Avatar m tn Since then other symptoms like tinnitus and double vision and a lazy eye have come about. could this be a deficiency in some vitamin as I havent drank in 3 years and when I did it was moderate but 10 years ago I had a bit of a problem. I stopped drinking to look after my mum who had cancer and felt fine for the first 2.5 years. Could it be related to alcohol or stress? I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia by my doctor but I seem to be getting symptoms not mentioned under neuralgia.
1381186 tn?1280202029 As for the Bs, the most important for mood are B6 and B12, with folate another player and thiamine and niacinamide and niacin being involved as well with some of the symptoms. The best complex would be what's called a stress B -- it's a B complex focusing on the Bs most involved in the nervous system plus Vitamin C. Some stress Bs also contain relaxant herbs and some also contain adrenal regulating herbs.

691724 tn?1230682644 Energy drinks are all the craze. My husband uses those little bottles of 5-HOUR ENERGY drinks. I read the label and it has extremely high amounts of Niacin and B12. I know certain vitamins are stored in the body while others aren't. Are these B vitamin doses safe on a regular basis? Also what happens to the body when high doses of B vitamins are ingested like this?
