I think that the benadryl would be fine. it seems that they are recommended by most Dr. the nurofen I am not familiar with, check with your local pharmacist they are an excellent source of information, and they do not charge you....
Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore.
I know it may sound strange but it works really well.
Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

I am a single mother of 2 beautiful boys and become so depressed dont feel like getting out of bed and just want to sleep my life away. What worries me even more than the various opiates is the amount of Nurofen you are taking.
The maximum dose is 3 x 600mg per day. Ibuprofen (the main constituent of Nurofen) is a strong acid, and I'm amazed you haven't burned a hole in your stomach yet. In that kind of quantity they could also cause liver or kidney damage.
Hi i got a problem with taking nurofen plus I just Can't stop and the more I try the harder it is. I take around 6 to 10 a day and I now feel I really count on them to get me through the day. Really what I want to know is if I stop cold turkey will I go through all the bad withdrawals and how long will they last?
I don't take them to get high. I started taking them because I get really bad headaches but now I got the headaches sorted out I feel like I still need nurofen.
s inflamed tendons and prescribed Diclofenac soldium XR, an anti-inflammatory, twice a day. Wondering if this drug is safe for him to take given hepatitis and Cirrhosis. He has a call back into the PCP to double check before taking it, and I have a call in to his hepatologist to double check before taking it.
While waiting for calls back from PCP or hepatologist, wondering if anyone on this forum may know the answer?

for the past 3 or maybe 4 years. I honestly can't remember when I first started.
Is this an addiction ? I never take more than 6 per day (honestly) because I'm scared of liver/kidney damage.
Any advice is helpful to me.

Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids. So, speak with your doctor, of course, but would advise not to use these together based on the provided information.
Hi, I posted this question in the Cirrhosis forum, but I thought maybe I'd post it here too, since many members of the Hep C forum also have Cirrhosis. I have a question about an anti-inflammatory medication called Diclofenac for a person with Cirrhosis.
There may be reasons why, for you, she is suspecting the Diclofenac and not the other. Give her a call and ask. Let us know what happens.
I'm glad you're feeling better though - it must have all been pretty scary. I have allergies to some meds, but it's all skin reactions, not breathing stuff. I imagine that's terrifying.
I was in a car crash last april and have a right shoulder injury and neck pain. I had 12 weeks of physio after and had my last session in dec. I have been ok since unitl two weeks ago.I have the pain back again. I was studying for my mock exams and doing a lots of writting could this have made it worse? please help! I am worried because i am doing my real exams in may. I am in alot of pain and scared to go to doctor because he might tell me I cann't do my exam.
Do you think if I get sleeping tabs Ill be able to get off the nurofen + and what are the chances of me getting addicted to those. ve decided to wean myself off, whether I go cold turkey is amother thing. So today I havent taken any nurofen plus. This morning I had hot and cold sweats slightly as well as a bit of a runny nose but they seemed to dissapear as the day went on (the sweats mainly). But the headache has been with me most of the day but just a very dull ache. I took some ibuprofen before to ease it as I read this will help with the initial withdrawal headaches.
