Diclofenac acid

Common Questions and Answers about Diclofenac acid

arthrotec

Avatar f tn Arthrotec is a tablet containing a combination of diclofenac and misoprostol. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain. Misoprostol reduces stomach acid and replaces protective substances in the stomach that are reduced by NSAIDs. Arthrotec is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in people at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

653169 tn?1303446369 Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?
Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
Avatar n tn I took diclofenac and don't recall it causing burping. However burping can be a sign of an ulcer, and difeofenac is hard on the stomach. Did you stop the omeprazole? Did you get an upper GI scope to look for signs of acid reflux or a large hiatal hernia (the latter can cause burping, the former, acid reflux, can tend to be worse at night if you are lying pretty flat)? And a problem with the gallbladder can cause burping too. Have you had an ultrasound or HIDA scan looking at it lately?
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

Avatar f tn I have developped a skin problem in my finger tips wherein the skin gets dry and cracks. I have visited many dermatologists. When I use Diclofenac (skin ointment) the skin gets well after few days. But once I put my hand in detergent water, it gets ... [More] affected again. I have been using the medicine since three years and it seems to me that there is no permanent solution. What else should I do to get a complete cure?
473384 tn?1210206242 like that was going to last!). 6 months ago I started taking diclofenac (an NSAID) and apparantly it works REALLY WELL for pain b/c I am supposed to stop taking it 7-10 days before surgery b/c of bleeding issues. I stopped it last week and OMG I can't believe how bad my pain became. I could not even walk, could not get comfortable in bed to sleep, etc etc etc.
Avatar n tn And please remember, that if you see multiple doctors, you should let them know all medications you take including anything over the counter such as aspirin. Here is information regarding diclofenac gel. https://www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids.
Avatar m tn This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.
880900 tn?1467270141 Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Avatar f tn Thank you for the response. The biopsy in 2008 was performed slightly behind the affected area, closer to my ear, a 4mm square incision. Not sure why the doctor did not perform a shave biopsy on the problem area itself? Maybe an attempt to avoid a scar where I would easily see it. I can see a slight vertical scar where the biopsy was performed. I would prefer to try Photo-Dynamic light treatment instead of another biopsy.
