I went through the same thing. I used A & D ointment for babies and it helped stopped the bleeding. Also air it out so it has time to scab and heal. I know it sound weird but sleep with no underwear and legs open. By the second day it should stop bleeding.
I am getting better at calming my fears but this morning she woke up with a red area on her left labia - it looks like a pimple. Most of the diaper rashes she gets are all over and bilateral and very noticeably a diaper rash. This area looks like a pimple or possibly a clogged pore but has not changed since this morning. I am very diligent about washing my hands.
Recently I shaved the jungle down under and I think I literally sliced parts of my labia minora and clitoris. The cut my labia minora is about a inch and a half long. The cut on my clitoris is much smaller, it seems to be on the hood of the clitoris and just to the lower left. How ever, its been about a week since the incident and the cuts aren't getting better. Its very painfully when I urinate or more the areas around. Is there some home treatment I can do or should I see a doctor?

I developed some kind of rash on each side of the lower portion of my labia. It is red, rather raw, and very dry skin but does not itch. There are no visible bumps. I stopped using those pads and switched to a more cottony pad and applied diaper rash cream last night. Not sure if the rash has improved yet or not, will check in the morning. Does this happen to anyone else?? Is it possible that its from something other than the pad??
I was worried that I passed HSV onto my kids when I delivered them. I have been diagnosed with HSV--1 by blood work, but I'm pretty sure its genital. I had a couple breakouts when i was 17, never went to the doctor and then never really had symptoms after that. When I got pregnant at 25 with my son i told my ob I suspected I had herpes but he said my symptoms didn't sound like herpes ( which were breaking out in pimple like spots all over my pelvis and buttocks.
I got heavy vaginal dischage these past few days so i wore pantyliner most of the time. Howver, i started to have itchiness on my private part; my labia became red n swollen and skin rash over the perineum *sigh- sorry, it sounds gross..could it be allergic to pantyliner? It really makes me crazy..i tried change to other brand but nothing happened. Anyone knows how to deal with this?

Hi I have had a re-accurring flair up that's similar to diaper rash. and a spot that's similar to a tear on my "v". This has been going on for 3-4 years now and the doctor has no more options " I've perscribed everything I can think of" he tells me I've been tested for std's multiple times even though I'm not active. I've been on dyfluctan and other yeast treatments most of which offer no or little help.
m allergic to fragrance and get a swollen, burning pain whenever anything with fragrance touches my vagina (like scented toilet paper). I use a diaper rash cream to help relieve the pain and the rash usually goes away after a few days.
If your rash is hanging around still, you should see a dr to rule out an STD or infection. If it's not, then I'd suggest not using those wipes again.
After i had both my children, and had to wear them after delivery for 6 weeks, i would develope what i called a diaper rash. little red bumps all around my bottom, lips, and vaginal opening area. I went to the doc both times and was told both times it was a contact reaction more than likely from the pads and panty liners. You retain more heat when wearing them.

I often suggest (as silly as it sounds) for rashes or itchiness of any type, Penaten (diaper rash creams) help significantly with clearing up any rash, swelling and itchiness. It is designed to be gentle but more importantly it reduces moisture and relieves the rash. Vagisil will alleviate the itchiness and it is designed for that specific problem in that specific area.

About 5 months ago I had an outbreak with a sore, ulcer, rash and blisters on my upper thigh and slightly on labia majora. The doctor immediatly concluded with herpes, but tested me for all STD's. All the tests came back negative, including the IGG for herpes, but a week later the IGM came back positive. At this point I hadn't had sex of any kind for over 4 months, so since the IGG was negative he concluded it to be herpes zoster (shingles).

(keep in mind this was not on her diaper area.it was *near* her diaper area on her leg.) i applied this cream on my daughter until i noticed that the rash was spreading down her legs only 3 days later. alarmed i took her to an Emergency Room doctor. he told me that it was just exema and to apply a stronger sterriod cream on her. it was triamcinolone acetonide cream 0.025%. this did absolutely nothing for her.
My year old daughter has just had a rash that was totally symmetrical and bright red across her entire pelvis and upper thighs. Would HSV present like that? We called and doctor said put zinc on it for several days and nothing helped. Then many small brown spots appeared almost like tiny little "scabs" thought there was nothing to pick off. The next day it was better though there was vulvar irritation.
The diaper cream has worked around my anus but the rash seems to have migrated to the area between my scrotum and anus. I've been medicating that area but perhaps the way I'm sitting has caused further issues. Now I have the same kind of rash (almost like a rug burn) on both butt cheeks just outside of the anus area where the rash began.
So it would seem like a heat rash, I suppose, but not sure how to treat it.
