After 2 weeks my infection is back. I am a type 2 diabetic and this has gone on for 8 months. What kind of test can I beg for to find the problem?

The wound under my left little toe between the toe and the foot has become a little deaper and I am terrified it could be a Diabetic Ulcer growing. Last week I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer and am taking Amoxicillin, Biaxin and Prevacid. I am one week into treatment and feel only marginally better. My question is about stomach tenderness. he is sending her to the retinal specialist (my dr) for a check up. he said that there is no detachment. She is diabetic and has been for almost 15 years. why would he send her to the retinal spec if there is no RD? does diabetes cause retinal tears?

Tell your friend to get to his doctor immediately! He has diabetic foot ulcer and if it gets infected, he could have to face amputation of the foot and possibly his leg. Don't mess around with waiting for an appointment either! Get him in or take him to the emergency room.

It's become so extreme because he didn't take his insulin or medication for about 15 or so years so he had to get his toe then his foot then up to his knee cut off.He has vascular blood disease,kidney failure [he will be starting dialysis soon],his eyesight has become very poor[he's legally blind],and he has severe neurapothy[sorry if I misspelled anything].
