Teast before you eat Idealy your BG is under 100 (probably not if your
diabetic). Count the carbohydrates in your
meal. Eat. test your BG 1 hour, two hours after you eat. You are looking for BG to always be under 140 (BG over 140 causes damage to your body) or less than a 40 Pt rise in BG. If your BG rises more than 40 Pts you eat too many Carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates raise BG ALL carbs raise BG whole wheat, brown rice, pasta, most fruit will raise BG.
