I have had diabetes for 7 years and recently worked with the diabetes educator at one of my local hospitals as a high school intern. We did a lot of teaching about diabetic socks. Diabetic socks are not a scam. People with diabetes are supposed to wear cotton socks so that the socks breathe. Also diabetic socks are supposed to help with keeping good circulation to the feet. Since people with diabetes need to take extra care of their feet.

You can get AIDS tests online if you want a more discreet way of being tested. But when you bleed it usually goes out and not in. Most of the type of AIDS transmissions you are worried about is from a constant exposure going directly into your system. I had a friend who was stuck with a diabetic needle over 6 years ago from a patient who was HIV positive. Guess what she never got HIV or AIDS.
So, I doubt a bite on the lip would not give you AIDS.
My daughter has had type 1 diabetes for over 20 years and has diabetic retinopathy. After a series of bleeds and resulting laser surgery, she suffered a detached retina in one eye and underwent a total vitrectomy. Three days later, she could see nothing - the result, probably of an infection. She was treated with antibiotics and steroids, but her sight never fully recovered and now a fluorogram confirms that she has lost blood supply to approximately 25% of the retina.
Although, the lady said she had 7 years experience in teaching hiv/aids education. I chose to ask Teak if it was accurate and conclusive. The key here is not that I am paranoid or ignorant. I hope someone more knowledgeable and experienced with hiv/aids such as Teak would reply. However, when I asked Teak specifically I have not heard from him. Instead I get a response from a 16 year old boy who answers for Teak. Is it too much to ask for an answer? What have I done wrong?
I dont mean for use with a child at all but i know our small town will take some at local highschools for parenting classes and health units for prenatal classes as teaching aids. I think even the fire departments take them for demonstrations of vehicle rescues. Hate to see them going to the dump Is all!

The difference is massive. I am a registered nurse, I worked for over 10 years in a teaching hospital. Residents and fellows do need to learn but surgery for pelvic organ prolapse is very complicated with a very high risk of complications if not done correctly. Instead of a doctor who has done hundreds of surgeries you would have someone learning do your surgery.
Okay so today I used my clients diabetic meter and he got out a new lancet (unused) but the test strip that was in the meter was already in there and I asked if it was a new one and he said yes. But I am worried there may have been some blood on there that I didn’t see and I’m not for sure if it was a new one or not. So if there was blood on the strip how much of a chance do I have contracting hiv? I don’t think he has it but I’m not for sure.
It was at a teaching hospital. Also the samples were taken off site and had to be transported there, anyway the blood sample was mishandled? I really had moved on until I got this damn pneumonia and now I'm freaking out again! My doctor still insists I'm in the clear. I've never been sick like this, coincidence?!!

If your doctor's idea of helping you is to say "tough it out", then you might want to start interviewing other doctors to see if you can find someone who can hep. Those most experienced are called liver specialists (hepatologists). They can usually be found at your larger, teaching hospitals.

I emailed her teacher last night when i got home and she immediately emailed back and said that she sometimes forgets the children are only 5 years old. She's been teaching for 13 years, so its suprising to me. I think if it does continue I will meet with the principal and discuss switching teachers. NJ schools have had a lot of educational cuts. There is one teacher for 26 kindergarteners and no aids. Sometimes parents come in to volunteer, but its not consistent.
