Tbd There are a variety of healthy grains such as buck wheat or wheat berry that have the same benefit as oatmeal but oatmeal is probably the easiest to make and consume. Avatar f tn Stay very hydrated, eat oatmeal and moderate amounts of tuna, express the milk from your breasts with your hands first to stimulate a stronger let down reflex, and theres a tea for mothers milk at walmart that i used and loved :) also keeping warm rags on your breasts while you pump can help get more milk out, that way youll start producing more after each feeding

Also, avoid starchy foods like potatoes, rice, and any foods made with white flour - white bread, crackers, pasta/noodles - as these turn quickly into sugar after eating. Avatar f tn Whole wheat bread is wheat that is not milled as much so it contains the wheat fibers (that is why it is darker in color) as opposed to white bread. Soft wheat does not have much fiber as whole wheat bread. Multi-grain and whole grain breads have added grains/seeds, such as oatmeal, and sesame seeds. The label will list the additional 'grains'.

If weight conscious and diabetic start by lowering your carbohydrate intake. Eat organic whole grains, vegetables, fish and poultry, and fruits, and lean beef and pork. Avoid foods made with white flour; breads, crackers, pasta and white foods like rice and potatoes as these quickly turn into sugar after eating.

Avatar f tn Most women have no issues producing milk. I do. Oatmeal is a great food to help increase milk production. You can also Google recipes for cookies and other things that help supply. Please do not use these things unless you have an issue with supply. You don't want to over produce.

You do need carbs but try to go for the complex carbs that take longer to break down and simple carbs like sugar. Fruits and veggies both have fiber (complex carb), plus there's whole wheat bread, oatmeal, cereals, etc.

Avatar n tn You say you're sure your tests (plural) showed a diabetic profile, then you say my test (singular) showed that... And, then you say you're a lifelong hypoglycemic. Tell us what these test(s) are. The word "usually" indicates your home test results are not always in the normal range which makes you a diabetic.
