Common Questions and Answers about Diabetic recipes easy and fast

diabetes

Evillady I went the easy way. I just removed from my diet, anything "white". Rice, potatoes, pasta, products made with flour. I also took out peas, and many beans as well. I replaced them with cheese, olives, nuts, meats, and lots of eggs. At one time, I was consuming nearly 18 eggs per week. I've dialed that back to half that now. Eating "Paleo" works for me.

Avatar f tn My husband and step son love this casserole that I make you need: 2 lb ground beef 1 can family sized Tomato soup (or 2 regular sized cans) 1 can green beans 1/2 onion 1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese Instant mashed potatoes (8serving size) Just cook the ground meat and then add the onion (chopped) and while the meat is cooking I start the tomato soup and green beans on med.
Avatar f tn I have been a diabetic now for 6 months, after going into a Diabetic Coma and DKA (my sugar was over 700 and I quit breathing) on July 31, 2015. Sugar was 70 in Dec 2014 and elevated in March. My question is this: I live alone, have no children by choice, family is out of state, and I am at a loss for what I can eat. I just figured out that my body likes weenies and beans. But I need some more help as to what to cook.
Avatar f tn s always fast or you can always look up quick and easy recipes online and try to use whatever you have in the kitchen
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, only a physician can give you an accurate diagnosis of being pre-diabetic or diabetic, and since I am not one, I cannot answer that question for you. What I can do is give you my opinion on what you have told me and share what I do know with you. First of all, I would make an appointment for a complete physical with my physician and explain these symptoms. Writing them down prior to your appointment is important so that you don't forget anything.
Avatar n tn Since I recently had my gaul bladder removed, and am a type 2 diabetic...what should be a good meal plan?
1972798 tn?1355549267 Sometimes people will help with meals for a couple weeks after baby is born since our lives will be so different but if not or after that runs out we will all need some fast easy meals to do. If you would like to participate I think we could all come up with some ideas for fast meals to share with everyone and make our lives a little easier after our babies are born.

7450032 tn?1396631975 So I'm 24 weeks today. I went to the dr yesterday and had an ECO done on the baby because I'm diabetic (i was diabetic before i got pregnant) and my dr said when your diabetic your baby is at a higher risk for heart defects.. Well everything came back normal but he's kind of a big baby. He weighs 1pound 8 oz and is in the 66th percentile. So my question is, has anyone had large babies due to diabetes? And did they have any trouble trying to control your babys glucose?
Avatar n tn Eat organic whole grains, vegetables, fish and poultry, and fruits, and lean beef and pork. Avoid foods made with white flour; breads, crackers, pasta and white foods like rice and potatoes as these quickly turn into sugar after eating. 1666434 tn?1325262350 There are so many recipes out there and resources that it can get a little confusing when you are trying out new ones. I thought it might be helpful if we made a thread that shared some of your favorite diabetic safe recipes. This can just be something you make yourself all the time or a recipe you converted to be safe.
535822 tn?1443976780 I apologize in advance if this double posts. First the technician is partly correct. Your 112 mg/dl fasting level puts you into the prediabetes category. Normal 70-99 mg/dl Prediabtes 100-124 mg/dl Diabetes Type 2 126 mg/dl and above You can reverse your glucose levels now with a little lifestyle change. Once you hit 1265 mg/dl there is no turning back. Changing lifestyle habits can go a long way in controlling type 2 diabetes.
Avatar f tn Heya, Since food is quite problematic for me, and i suspect many other pregnant women too, i thought it would be nice to share some easy snack recipes, that are easy to digest and healthy for ourselves and our babies. I find easy to digest important to avoid nausea, bloating, constipation and other stomach issues us pregnant women might suffer from. I'll put some of my tips and recipes in reply to this post, to avoid time-outs. Hopefully you will share yours too! Enjoy!
Avatar f tn I had gd with my last child (4yrs ago) and really really want to avoid it this time. Anyone have any healthy meal recipes and or excercise advice? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Try doing the diabetes/gestational diabetes diet...the basics... limit carbs intake to 30g per meal, cut as much sugars as possible (I drank fruit juices, soda, Starbucks coffee loaded with sugar, ate ice cream and candy-- and eliminated 95%), and they have a lot of awesome recipes on pinterest... I was told I have GD and was forced to change my eating habits to diabetic eating habits and have lost weight... I haven't gained anything this pregnancy and I'm 36 weeks pregnant...
Avatar f tn It's been a pretty easy pregnancy! Just this heat is what's killing me. And I'm hungry 24/7.
