Avatar n tn Does anyone like to juice. I would like to hear your recipes for pregnancy. I v just drank 1/2 beet root,2 carrots,and 1 apple. It was yummy.
Avatar f tn I have a thing for Sparkling water or anything from Crush. its all caffenine free so no worries about having that as a soda some times. I don't enjoy just plain water and it has to be SUPER cold for me to drink it. So i have orange or lemon slices added in there. or Crush Cream soda... .its a litle funny. my 2 yr old calls it mommy juice and daddy isn't allowed to touch it if there is some in the fridge.

Avatar m tn Juicing is beneficial....as stated it is not a cure...but juicing is beneficial whether you are ill or not. For one it helps you lose weight. When Montel got MS and started juicing I got into it too even tho I don't have MS...was looking for a way to introduce more vegetables into my life. I also bought a Nutri-Bullet system and their recipes are good. Dr.Oz has some good smoothie recipes. I too started researching vegetable and fruits, Have eliminated meat in all forms from my diet.

973741 tn?1342342773 Okay people, I got my new Ninja pro juicing and smoothing blender. Can make big containers or single serving. And plan to go to town. Anyone do this on a regular basis? I have the smoothing recipe I've made since my kids were little but am branching out. Recipes? Thoughts? I'm going to try some new ones and I'll post them. Smoothies are a good way to get the 'good stuff' we need easily.
Avatar n tn It may be tough but try veggie juicing. Juicing the right veggies and fruits will help a lot with your levels. I juice 2 stalks of celery, 4 carrots, 1 red Apple, 1 green Apple, half a bunch of spinach and a lemon. I make it 4 days a week and try to use organic ingredients as much as possible. pour over ice and drink w a straw. I just use it as a drink, not a meal replacement. The extra nutrients help you and baby a lot! Good luck!!

Also, avoid starchy foods like potatoes, rice, and any foods made with white flour - white bread, crackers, pasta/noodles - as these turn quickly into sugar after eating. Avatar f tn Yea I have. I'm trying to get into meditation to. These migraines kick in quick, within an hour when one hits I can be in some trouble and not able to function. So I try yoga but they come on so fast it doesn't help a lot.

You should Google recipes but my tip is to peel any citrus because after awhile the water gets that bitter taste which they don't tell you. But since I started doing that I drink 6-8 glasses a day non problem. They have flavors like strawberry kiwi. Cinnamon apple you can use all kinds.
Avatar n tn It is not hard to cook proper foods instead of relying on man-made junk foods. There are thousands of recipes on the iNet which one can follow. If weight conscious and diabetic start by lowering your carbohydrate intake. Eat organic whole grains, vegetables, fish and poultry, and fruits, and lean beef and pork. Avoid foods made with white flour; breads, crackers, pasta and white foods like rice and potatoes as these quickly turn into sugar after eating.

Avatar f tn Soooo I went and did my one hour glucose test yesterday and my results came back today... come to find out I am full blown diabetic and My doctor couldn't wait till my appt on weds to tell me bc it's so severe... let's say my stress level is through the roof now. Anyone else diagnosed or have diabetes while pregnant? Just curious and trying to relate to someone really.

I have been doing this everyday for almost a week. Now I am concerned about taking in too many nutrients. Is that possible? Also what are some good combination of juices, what else should I try?
