Common Questions and Answers about Diabetic diet exchange chart

diabetes

You might look up exchange lists too they are much easier to follow than the glycemic diet (although a list of low glycemic foods is good to follow). I personally think exchanges are easier and less time consuming than trying to figure out the glycemic load of foods. http://www.mayoclinic.
We type 2's should also occasionally test before we eat, just to see how low we go, but mainly we want to know our fasting and post-prandial readings. The nurse educator also gave us a food exchange diet, which wasn't much different from the way I normally eat - AND it didn't do a thing to lower my blood sugar. So take what they say with an open heart, but you'll have to do your own research on your own body to really learn what's needed to lower your glucose readings.
If your father has CAD, and collateral blood flow and you are concerned there may a genetic component for CAD, you need to take precautionary measures to prevent CAD such as control your cholesterol, blood pressure, proper diet, exercise, etc. However, my notes on the subject from a few years ago indicate there is evidence why some people with diabetes do not have adequate blood supplying collaterals. There is a biological component associated with diabetes and the cardiovascular system....
"I have looked up the conversion from Naturthroid's website, but everyone says to go slow. " That is your answer. Whatever the chart says, i would go a little lower. You have two choices in starting out Nature Throid. The TEMPORARY result will be medically induced hypo, or medically induced hypER. Its near impossible to get it just right as the body has to adapt to the increased T3 in Nature Throid.
I am taking her to a holistic nutritionist tomorrow in hopes that a change in diet will help. I will let you know if it works. I guess she will be put on a special diet for one week.
Holy - I am vegan (have been for 3 years) and am now doing to candida diet on top of the vegan diet. I do admit that I started eating fish once or twice a week though for protein. Other than that, the diet is boooring.
Plus, I don't think people should be given a pill just for weight loss. It is a good benefit, but exercise and diet are a better way. It's fair to us because we need the medication to aid other needs.
I was eatting sooo much sugar daily, that my blood was so hyperglycemic, that when I didn't eat and pump my blood with sugar, my blood sugar would instantly plumit (hypoglycemia) and I would pass out! I tried cutting out my sugars at that time. I switched to diet pop, bought sugarfree candy, but still wasn't as strict as I needed to be! Then i got pregnant for my 3rd child, and developed gestational diabetes. I never had that before! But this time I did.
The first thing that comes to mind and is a concern is whether you are diabetic or have you had your sugar checked? If you have sugar you can sometimes get an odor to your urine and if you have sugar/dibetes it can be a big factor as to why you get this in the first place so if your not sure get it checked.
He has no pain, thus far, I believe because he is diabetic. He has had two massive heart attacks and never felt anything. Can we finally see a positive side to diabetes?? LOL Hospice is very helpful, I have worked with them with other family members. Do not hesitate to use them, if available. I am a newly graduated RN, but have seen enough to know that you should not hesitate to give pain medications to terminal cancer patients.... sometimes it is unbearable.
I go in the tech does them and I leave. So they are not even looking at the chart, or see that everything turned out ok and so don't mention it? All they have to do to make women feel they are being taken care of is ask ONE laser specific question or statement... like oh, i see you went in for monitoring...that must have been scary, or I'm so glad you came in and found out you weren't miscarring... that's it!
I have tried cutting out alcohol, artificial sweetners, all allergy medication, diet soda, etc....and I can't get a direct link to anything that I'm injesting. I plan on purchasing a air purifier to see if that helps....have you tried that?
The reaction can tell them all kinds of different things. They gave me a diet plan for migraines which seems to help and I don't need medication. They told me try it for 4-6 weeks and if it doesn't work they will prescribe me migraine medicine. I hope this helps. If you want a copy of my diet plan to try or any more information, I would be more than happy to give it to you.

I haven't taken any medications at all; I just added vitamins to my diet. The first 2 weeks were the worst. This weekend my legs hurt again, but it went away. My eyes were bothering me for several days (odd sensation like they were extra dry or straining) but that too passed. During this process I have had a nerve test, reflex tests, blood work and an MRI done. The MRI was to rule out the coincidence that maybe MS was a factor. All test results were normal.
I'm on clomid 100mg for the first month. I've lost 27 pounds through the medifast diet.it's September now and i started the diet in July so hopefully since I've lost weight I will ovulate. my period is about 2 months late today i had a stick pee preg test at the doctors, they said it was neg, but i am having all the same signs i did with my one and only baby that i was preg with a few years ago, soo its not making ANY sense, they did a blood test to check that i wasnt preg for sure, and are also checking for being diabetic and pcos, i really hope i dont have either and that im preg, i was so sure that i was that i was picking out baby stuff on walmart.
Now, in all fairness, I've also changed my diet up recently, but I think I was seeing these problems start before that. I cut most all sugars and a lot of fat from my diet to keep from gaining weight as I age, and I think that has actually hurt me some to, even though it is a healthier diet. I think my body is reluctant to steal energy from fat cells or something when it coems to sex. In any case, holding back on porn/masturbation seems to help.
