They did blood work and everything was fine there, they did a MRI on my back thinking maybe lumbar or a disc problem but there was a slight encroachment but that was not causing foot drop. They checked for diabetes and I was not diabetic. The Dr. Gave me an EMG and discovered nerve damage but could not locate exactly where but estimated it was from my hip. He called it sciatic neuropathy with unknown cause. I received a foot brace that fit in my shoe and it helped a little.

I have also used vapor rub. Works for about 5 minutes. I take cold showers. Ice packs all over my body. If you know of anything else I could try please let me know. I also have severe bruising.

I started experiencing being cold all over the whole body, what went from bad to unbearably being cold. I couldn't stand it. Infact I think I have an obsession with my breathing. Tonight I went out with a friend for dinner and later we went for a walk - I struggled after ten minutes to keep walking as it is a warm humid night and the more I concentrated on my breathing the worse I got. Have you been checked for diabetes? The anion gap being "all over the place" and the wound that doesn't heal could be due to that or of course other things. Where is your pain? Is it in the joints? Do you have any fever now or recurrent fever? Reactive arthritis can be caused by an infection in the joints. It wouldn't necessarily show up as arthritis rather as an infection. So they might have to aspirate an area to see if it has bacteria in it in order to find out.
