555358 tn?1292532061 I think they moved the Albany NY walk to the park in Cohoes.. Will be attending that one along with a bunch of family and friends.. (any ideas for a team name?) Hopefully I'll actually be up to the walking..
Avatar n tn In the morning after breakfast I would walk in my livingroom or do a pregnancy workout dvd. Then in the evenings I would take a walk in the park or I would do a prenatal yoga video. This really helped me keep my numbers down. Whenever I missed a workout day/night my fasting numbers the next morning were really high.
293157 tn?1285873439 we tried to go for a short walk at a park today... I made it about 100 feet?? slowly..holding my hubby's arm..my legs are weak and abit sore.. we walked onto dirt and gravel pathway... I couldn't go far..the side of my thigh and hip really started to hurt and we had to go back to the car... I't so frustrating to not be able to go for a walk.. I hope when I finally get my walker it helps..?? I don't know though..
Avatar f tn I totally agree. The fresh air is good therapy, but as my father used to say. "The farther you walk, the longer we live". Even when I go shopping I'll give other's the closer parking spot's and I'll walk a little further. I have my dad's quote in my head every time I park. Try it. My doctor said if you walked into the store, resteraunt, etc every time instead of the drive thru you can loose 5 pds in a year. I'm trying it and liking it too.
10216428 tn?1408618980 Took a walk to the park. (About 1 mile) and when i came back home i felt dizzy. Feet and hands were swollen, really sweaty, and have diarrhea. Im 34 weeks & 5 days. Avatar f tn I have just been told at 36 weeks that I have gestational diabetes. My midwife missed my family history in my notes so didn't test me for this at 28 weeks like she should have. I am really worried about what effect this may have had on my baby as it has been unmonitored for nearly 10 weeks!
Avatar n tn My first two pregnancies were with female singletons and were a walk in the park compared to this one. My hubby keeps saying its either a boy or twins! I won't find out until maybe next week, I will be calling Monday to get into my first prenatal appointment. Anybody else experience these kinds of symptoms?
Avatar n tn I wanna go to the park and walk the bleachers so my baby will hopefully drop and get a move on but I already know by the time I walk to the park I'll be exhausted and just wanna be back home.
Avatar n tn My first pregnancy was easy, this one has been no walk in the park. Ur not alone. I take comfort in knowing I will have a new little man in my life and that it wasn't for nothing.
Avatar f tn Can someone suggest a low impact exercise for am extremly over weight adult weighing around 340. I want to start exercising to lower my weight and maybe minimize my diabetes and high blood pressure, but i dont want to give myself a heart attack.
Avatar n tn I'm 28 weeks and I've been through 4 rounds of kidney stones,(one requiring removal) constipation, plecenta previa, anemia, restless leg syndrome, migrains, pelvic pain, limbs going numb, acid reflux, heart trouble, and my most recent diagnosis of gestational diabetes... pregnancy is not always a walk in the park. Thankfully it's only 9 months long and then it all becomes a distant memory.
560501 tn?1383612740 I was too bad off to walk - but I did sit on a bench in the park (where the walk started) while my family and friends walked. We called mine the bench-walk. It was my first - I hope to be able to actually WALK in it next year. It was still a wonderful experience, and felt great doing something for our cause.
Avatar f tn They did blood work and everything was fine there, they did a MRI on my back thinking maybe lumbar or a disc problem but there was a slight encroachment but that was not causing foot drop. They checked for diabetes and I was not diabetic. The Dr. Gave me an EMG and discovered nerve damage but could not locate exactly where but estimated it was from my hip. He called it sciatic neuropathy with unknown cause. I received a foot brace that fit in my shoe and it helped a little.
5631686 tn?1371322888 That's wonderful!! I had 3 daughters before my son! I absolutely adore having a boy!! He is so different! Congratulations!! Btw, he's 11 months..
Avatar f tn I am a 50-year-old healthy, athletic female. In July 2008 I noticed as I walked down the hall at work early one morning that my left leg wasn't working right. It seemed it had forgotten how to move smoothly. I tried to ignore it, but over time I tripped more, limped more, and more and more people asked me what I'd done to myself that caused my limp. In the past year, I've had MRI of brain, neck, spine, EMG, and EEG and consulted with two neurologists as well as my primary doc.
Avatar f tn Idk geez I couldn't live w/o a stroller whether 1 or 2 kids lol when washer us nice we walk almost everyday. Go to the park, use it shopping, the zoo etc.
