Along with correct nutrition playing an important part of your lifestyle, so does proper body weight, a normal Lipid panel, and daily physical exercise.

Maybe it is coincidence, but I feel like it significantly impacts my immune system when I don't eat carbs. What should I do?

Avatar f tn As far as reducing your risk for Type 2 Diabetes in general, whether you ave Hepatitis C or not, a healthy diet (fresh vegetables and fruits, lower fats, no fast food or junk food) and regular exercise are extremely important in Diabetes prevention. Also, if you are overweight, losing weight helps prevent Type 2 Diabetes. If you have already developed Type 2 Diabetes, weight loss may be all you need to clower your blood sugar to normal levels.

I was just wondering - of all the Diabetics on this forum .... how many have had endocrinologists put you on medication to *prevent* kidney failure soon after your were first diagnosed? My endo is really pushing to put me on medication in case (and I stress the words "in case") I may get Kidney Disease. I have no signs of it or have it now. My Kidneys are healthy.
