my mom,s diabetes level are good and normal her problem is her tips of the middle finger of both hands hurts, when she touches any thing the tips hurts and today she also she got pain in her whole stomach and back . we went to doctors but they could not help about the finger tips please help me?

Hi V. My dad has Type 2 or adult onset diabetes so I'm ALWAYS looking and finding tips to help him reduce or eliminate it. Yes, diabetes is reversible if type 2 which is what you have. Recently watched a live news feed (google Dr Oz and diabetes) and was interested in what he said. He states 90% of the time you can actually eliminate it by losing weight. 10 lb reduction will decrease risk by 60%. He also said on one of his shows that a teaspoon of cinnamon a day will also effect it.

If diagnosed, any tips on diet/monitoring? What did you have to do? If already delivered and had gd, what was your labor experience, any complications from gd? Failed 1 hour by a lot. 3rd pregnancy, barely passed 3 hour with first 2, but have a feeling i won't pass 3 hour this time, scheduled for monday.

I had my right ovary and a 10cm cyst removed by laparoscopy just over 2 weeks ago, and today I had the news from my doctor that it is benign! No cancer! I am just so happy I wanted to share it with everyone. I kept being reassured by various posters on here that over 95 % of ovarian cysts are benign, but it's just so good to get the actual confirmation.

It occurred to me for the first time two weeks ago. A very strange sharp fruity (chemical) smell from my finger tips. When I sniffed my other hand it didn't give this smell. When I sniffed other body parts or the mobile phone I had been using (or other objects) I couldn't trace this smell. When I smelled the same finger tips a bit later, the smell was gone. However since than the smell has re-occurred several times, always from my finger tips.

Just to let you all know had diabetes tests over two weeks, and good news no Diabetes, so cream doughnuts back on the menu :) and doc was really good this morning about numb bits of me,she is much more friendly towards me and is taking things seriously,even to the point of writing to my workplace so i dont lose job.

Hello everyone am 12 weeks and they called me from a specialist office making me appts and i asked the lady why and she like u have diabetes ??? So now am scared and dont want to eat anything cuz i dont know if it will harm my baby.... But what am really upset if that my ob dident call and told me the news???? Has anyone been threw this???

Hi i have gestational diabetes too. I am 30 weeks pregnant. Don't let it worry you guys. Stress will only make things worse. Tell your wife to exercise 30 mins everyday and have a good diet. I'm sure hospital and midwife will look after her too. I have been walking atleast 10 mins everyday and eating healthy and i am doing preety good with my diabetes.

For the last few weeks I have been having some abnormal muscle spasms or ticks, tingling that runs from the top of my arms to my finger tips but I have no physical movement? Could this be a seizure? Is this something that I should be concerned with or just blame on stress??? Please help as I would like to avoid a costly Dr w/no medical insurance.

Hey im 32+3 weeks pregnant with a lil boy. Recently been diagnosed with g diabetes controlled by diet at moment just wondering if anybody else has / had it n how.

was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. It was borderline over. One Dr doesn't believe I actually have it just have to check it to be safe. I'm 39 wks. Less than a week ago I got bellspalsy. Had to start medication, according to one dr it would throw off my diabetes and make it go crazy & needed to be induced. Went in Wed afternoon to be induced. Stayed on pit til Thurs night. Cervix didn't soften, nothing happened, so sent me home this morning.
