I recently went out with a guy whos had T1 diabetes for 20 something years. I dont know much about diabetes but i been reading and asking him questions to learn more. My question is i spent one night at his house and in the morning when he woke up he was very very confused, i dont think he knew who i was, hes eyes were open but in his head he wasnt there, he was saying sentences that didnt make sence, was moving very slow.

are free radicals the cause of type 2 diabetes? is there any related literature and journal to go through regarding this which proves that free radicals cause diabetes. (it is known that elevated levels of free radicals is a major complication of diabetes).....

Hi All, I would really appreciate if some one could take time to shred some light on the condition that my mother is going through. She has been lately diagonosed with diabetes and is on medication currently. She has been developing rash on her neck and face. Also, complaining about her eyes itching.

She also explained what to look for when picking out what I'm going to have for a meal and a snack. What really matters is the total carbohydrates. I got a prescription for a meter and testing strips and I have to check my blood four times a day.

Have you had the 5 or 6 hour glucose tolerance test? If all your doctor is relying on is fasting blood sugar he won't get much information. Your symptoms suggest not diabetes, but hypoglycemia, except for the joint and muscle pain, at least I never had the joint and muscle pain.

it depends. If a journal entry includes any information that can connect it to a particular person (name, address, phone, email, etc.) then there can be a problem. And thus, no one should put anything in a journal that would provide an avenue of approach to themselves or ANYBODY. Notice, I said "AVENUE." And that would include information which even indirectly exposes a personal identity.

The way I have to do it currently is I edit a current journal by adding my new information at the bottom of the current journal for that day. Does that make any sense?

m not sure of any web sites that have the information you requested. i tend to rely on books instead of the web for information. The ADA has many books for sale and the NIH (National Institute of Health) has many pamphlets of various diabetic issues. This can be accessed through the web. Hope this helps, bret.

Doctors just keep giving him the steroid injections but after a year NOTHING has gotten better. Any information would be truly appreciated.
