Avatar n tn are free radicals the cause of type 2 diabetes? is there any related literature and journal to go through regarding this which proves that free radicals cause diabetes. (it is known that elevated levels of free radicals is a major complication of diabetes).....
147426 tn?1317265632 Often when I am doing a deep analysis of someone's question, I go to their journal and look at the posts they've done. I know other people do this too. I would love to see an indication of which posts were "initial questions" that is, started by that person. Those are most often the ones containing the most information.
Business man2 You can begin your diabetes education by reading, understanding and practicing what is put forth at these sites: http://www.diabetes.org/ http://diabetes.webmd.com/ Since you didn't provide us any information to work with, you can start by making lifestyle changes. Too many people rely solely on medication to make themselves normal when basic lifestyle changes are ignored. Medication alone will not do the work for you, they are there to 'help' you.
188761 tn?1584567620 Hi All, I would really appreciate if some one could take time to shred some light on the condition that my mother is going through. She has been lately diagonosed with diabetes and is on medication currently. She has been developing rash on her neck and face. Also, complaining about her eyes itching.
401095 tn?1351391770 I have found that many doctors are not....
11195379 tn?1427921527 I went to see a dietician and after talking to her I got a better understanding of gestational diabetes and she helped me with a meal plan. She also explained what to look for when picking out what I'm going to have for a meal and a snack. What really matters is the total carbohydrates. I got a prescription for a meter and testing strips and I have to check my blood four times a day.
Avatar f tn Can anyone email a response that I can link to a diary, blog, journal or whatever of someone going through a 3-drug treatment regimen? I have posted before most recently on a recommended book, but several responders suggested I would do better with this website or hepcadvocate. So far, this has been the most helpful website. Right now, I would like to read about someone's progress through the 3-drug treatment and how he or she handled the side effects or did not experience them.
Avatar n tn Ketones and proteins in the urine can result from many factors, like excessive exercise, dehydration, high protein diet, kidney problems, and diabetes. Diabetes in the initial stages does not produce glucose in urine. However neither will it bring about ketones and proteins in the urine at an early stage. These are generally the signs of uncontrolled diabetes. You need to check the blood sugar fasting (8-12 hours) and two hours after a proper meal.
709686 tn?1277432159 Have you had the 5 or 6 hour glucose tolerance test? If all your doctor is relying on is fasting blood sugar he won't get much information. Your symptoms suggest not diabetes, but hypoglycemia, except for the joint and muscle pain, at least I never had the joint and muscle pain.
Avatar f tn I have recently been diagnosed with migraines and started with Frova which cause numbness in my feet, legs, arms, and fingers so I stopped taking it. Mr. doctor switched me to Treximet. It works wonderfully! I relieves the awful throbbing pain within 30-40 minutes and I don't have ANY side effects.
393986 tn?1303825975 it depends. If a journal entry includes any information that can connect it to a particular person (name, address, phone, email, etc.) then there can be a problem. And thus, no one should put anything in a journal that would provide an avenue of approach to themselves or ANYBODY. Notice, I said "AVENUE." And that would include information which even indirectly exposes a personal identity.
Avatar n tn The way I have to do it currently is I edit a current journal by adding my new information at the bottom of the current journal for that day. Does that make any sense?
Avatar f tn Any thing i can find out before hand is helpful God bless you all. Thanks so much for all the value information I have found here. Dont really know how to read lot of it dont understand the short cuts and abbreviations .
Avatar f tn Several factors have been proposed as possible causes such as emotional stress, psychological factors, habits, allergies, diabetes and hormonal disturbances. However, none of these factors have been conclusively linked to geographic tongue.” So it seems that no one knows what causes this condition However: “A condition that causes harmless tongue patches resembling smooth, red islands. Avatar n tn m not sure of any web sites that have the information you requested. i tend to rely on books instead of the web for information.
