Avatar n tn You did not tell us whether the company in India is sending you or if you are being hired by an American company while you are here. I ask because many American companies offer health insurance to their employees which would cover your medical expenses. This is something you may want to look into. As for any other kind of health insurance or travel insurance, I am not aware of any that would be available to you.
1512574 tn?1342608485 NYTimes? Huffington Post? R U kidding me? If your going to read one-sided trash you stay in the grabage. I don't get it...U joined this support group to do what? Have U ever tried HCG? Well, I guess those R questions somewhat retorical...
Avatar n tn t genetic as far as anyone has proven, but diabetes can be. Now, you live in India, which has this great tradition of meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda. Have you investigated any of these? They teach great coping mechanisms for people who don't adapt well to stress, and are used frequently in other parts of the world by therapists to help people with this problem.
Avatar m tn t know what your health care is like in India, but I would ask a doctor to test you for diabetes and a general health test. An increase in thirst can indicate diabetes and losing weight can be a sign too. Diabetes won't just go away, so try and see a doctor. If only to give you peace of mind that you are ok!

Avatar m tn You will need to ask your doctor for an A1c [HgbA1c, HbA1c] test to verify diabetes. Your results are presented in % [percentile]. You want between 4 and 5%. Not certain about India but elsewhere in the world A1c home test kits are available for consumer purchase at local pharmacies/drug store.
Avatar m tn What made you go for a biopsy in the first place? You mentioned two reasons for increase in PSA ... increase in age and infection are two more. I would retest before deciding to do anything else. I would suggest reading the NYTimes health reports on Prostate Cancer and the book "The invasion of the Prostate Snatchers...." education trumps lack of information.

Avatar m tn I was told one time in India, not in the USA, that I have IBS. The doctor gave me the medicine also but I could not bring it to US from India. No I do not take any medicine for GERD. I take metformin for diabetes and synthroid for thyroid. Thanks, Sanjay.
Avatar f tn Yes, and various forms of cancer...all results are negative. I was in India 2 years ago and when I came back I had the same symptoms, but only for 4 days. 2 years later and I have the same symptoms, but for 6 months. I'm not sure if it could be something I picked up in India but the doctors don't think this is possible. It may just be a co-incidence and that the post-India symptoms were realted to an isolated tummy bug.

Avatar m tn t have thought anything of it besides that I had developed in the same night, a certain canker sore or irritated tastebud on the tip of my tongue; it was gone in a matter of a few hours. I can't be totally sure that she wasn't bleeding from the mouth, (and I think you'd have to be pretty sick in the head to kiss someone with blood in your mouth) but I imagine she would taste like blood if there were an amount that makes transmission possible?
Avatar n tn I'm a 19 year old female. For the past year I have been getting severe muscle spasms in my left thigh. And after some time I started getting knee pain, lower back pain , random pains in my rib cage and calves, neck pain.My joints crack whenever I move and hurt. It comes and goes and moves around. Everyone keeps thinking it's in my head, but I'm constantly popping painkillers because I don't know what else to do. I have headaches everyday and constantly feel like I have a fever.
