The Metformin for me is no reaction on my blood sugar. Well, the side effect for me was working perfectly! My endo gave me Minidiab just half a tablet and it works well. Every time I take it when my blood sugar in 14 range. After few hours, it drops to 3.5. No one in the world will believe it works so effectively and can drop SO MUCH! I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 weeks ago. The Dr. prescribed metformin. I asked for a referral to an endocrinologist since I have an autoimmune disease (Stiff person syndrome + not overweight, normal blood pressure and choloesterol is normal). They said they would refer me to an endocrinologist. 6 days later hadn't heard anythoing from an endocrinoligst so called the Dr.'s office and they resent the referal. Being a dibitc doesn't always affect peing prego. If you're healthy so will ur baby. I was told to stop if/when I become prego. Ask ur doctor before stopping.
