Avatar n tn No. HbA1C of 6.2% is well within the normal limits of all Diabetic association guidelines. Also Fasting Blood Sugar of 88mg/dL is normal. This is in case if he is not on any anti-diabetic medication. Otherwise I would call it well controlled Diabetes. Allthough an assessment if he has Pre-diabetes needs to be done by his body weight and OGTT test.

In fact it returned 750 hits. For those of you reading this, use key word(s) in the ADA site search button to retrieve information that are "not" seen on their main page and main page sub-listing categories. Its not the most intuitive of sites to navigate.

However, all the research seems to be with type 2 diabetes, either 'caused' by HCV treatment or in association with HCV chronic infection. I wonder how many people there are who have HCV and were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as adults... I was diagnosed with type 1 in my early 20s.

However, after further reading on the net I found that Galvus 50mg is not for liver patients.. the problem is I can't seem to find any suitable medication for her diabetes which would NOT effect her liver condition. I welcome any suggestion or recommendation from members and medical practitioners here please..
