1867019 tn?1353467540 I need everyone's opinions on Prozac and Zoloft. My doctor said said Prozac could give me seizures...scared the s*** out of me!! Please let me know if you have taken either of these?
Avatar n tn Fourth, go see a holistic nutritionist and find out what in your diet and life is causing this, and in the meantime try drinking some aloe juice and/or taking deglycerized licorice (DGL) and see if it helps, or some peppermint oil caps. This is a digestive problem, not something that requires getting on an ssri.
Avatar f tn What does this sound like, and what can I do about it? I am a Type 2 Diabetic, and take Metformin, Januvia, and Zoloft for anxiety.
Avatar m tn i was tested for diabetes, and my results were 76 1st hr 81 then 43 3rd hr, they say i have hypoglycemia ? i didnt feel any symptoms when i left.......
Avatar f tn Thanks for your responses. My bro-in-law does not see a psychiatrist just a doctor from the State of California. He's a retired Highway Patrol officer and retired on medical, although it was for a physical ailment and not emotional/mental. His diabetes is 'controlled' by diet and he takes glucophage. He has several melt downs a day and doesn't take care of himself. He leaves that to my sister, who has to babysit him all day and night.
Avatar f tn I noticed when the Zoloft added I started having the GI side effects (read diarrhea here!) and the sexual side effects (ED problems and etc,,,). The first time I took zoloft I lost weight then gained weight. This time , I've been working out and have avoided the weight gain so far.
692643 tn?1372611227 You have to be vigilant anyways due to Diabetes and checking your blood sugars, you can easily catch anything earlier. Zoloft, if you need to get off the drug is much easier the Cymbalta by miles. If you doctor is telling you to take the meds, I would recommend it, but I would investigate the drugs as well. Both have been on the market for an extended period of time, and many studies have been done.
Avatar m tn I went through that when I tappered myself off Zoloft. Pure hell. I know now that I need Zoloft and will not put myself through that nightmare again. Find a good phyciatrist and also a good therapist.
1032715 tn?1315984234 This is what some doctors also call a chemical imbalance, and many have this. You will probably need medication for the rest of your life, and that's truly okay! If it were diabetes or some other illness you wouldn't think twice about taking the needed medication. I've been told that I will need mine for the rest of my life, and if this is what I have to do to be happy, and productive, so be it. You need to look at it as any other illness.
Avatar m tn (about 8 - 10 lbs I assume from the cut in zoloft) My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 3 months ago and my life has changed. I adore him and want to be around for as long as I can for him. I have not had a drink in 4 days and it has been awesome, but I have another problem. Recently, I have been dizzy and not really feeling like myself. I had a complete nervous breakdown 3 nights ago. I literally curled up into a ball and cried. I feel like I have a serious illness.
Avatar f tn So my question is, should I continue back on Zoloft? And if so, can I start back up at 100 mg? I got to start feeling normal again and start chilling out. /0: Please advise. p.s. Do people stay on a med. like Zoloft forever!?
Avatar n tn I have the same thing, I went on zoloft, and was prescribed the wrong dose. I had a distomic tremour, and every time, no matter whether I am cold, wether I am to happy, ect, my right arm twitches, my neck and shoulder twitch, and my head goes, I have even had attacks that have absorbed my whole body, and gone to hospital recieving cogenten ( spelling) to calm me down.
Avatar f tn I have been having really bad anxiety on and off. The Dr. gave me Zoloft and it seems to have helped with my anxiety. But as it is I have a very hard time getting restful sleep. When I do sleep I have ongoing dreams and my mind doesn't get any rest. Now with the Zoloft my sleep is much less restful. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I looked up the side effects of Zoloft and tachycardia or any arrhythmia for that matter is not listed. You may want to ask your doctor about this. It could be some anxiety but the Zoloft should be helping with that by now. Take care.
Avatar f tn Before, my regular routine was taking the zoloft first and my anxiety took over and always made me so nervous in the mornings I would have to take the clonazepam shortly after the zoloft. Is there something stronger than zoloft that may help my severe anxiety better? Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn I had been on Zoloft for the past 5 months and before that Paxil (the lowest dosages for both). When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking Zoloft but the depression and anxiety has returned. I would like to go back on Zoloft but am concerned if, because I quit "cold turkey", it's okay to do so. Should I ease back into it, or can I continue to take it as I had been? I've tried contacting my doctor but have not received a response.
Avatar f tn 25 mg because of depression and anxiety caused by insomnia. My MD says Zoloft will help me sleep within about three weeks. Anyone have any experiences to share? Thanks!
Avatar m tn You have to take the control back...stop reading, stop searching about SSRIs and Zoloft and brain damage. The one Zoloft pill did NOT cause any damage. In my humble opinion, you are dealing with severe anxiety, and you need to formulate a treatment plan. As of right now, I doubt you could tolerate another med, as you are still connecting everything to the Zoloft. Therefore, you will likely have another anxiety-induced reaction to another med.
Avatar n tn I have been on Zoloft 50 mg and Clonazepan 0.5mg for years and never had a problem. About 3 months ago I decided to decrease my dose of Zoloft to 25mg as I was feeling wonderful and my husband likes to have a couple of drinks and was on my case about having a drink or two with him. So I decided to decrease my meds. I completely stopped taking the Zoloft - cold turkey. And decreased my clonazepan by 1/2.
Avatar m tn He then prescribed Zoloft (50mg) once a day along with the 2 doses(1mg)ea of Lorazepam untill the Zoloft takes effect. The problem is I still feel like crap just about all day. Dizzy, sour stomach, a lttle shaky, weak feeling. I've been on the Zoloft for about a week now. It's hard, but, should I give the Zoloft time to work? Could I try using less or more Lorazepam? I really want to get off the Lorazepam. My doctor blames it on my upcoming retirement.
459279 tn?1206997145 I was on Zoloft 50 mg for 6 months, blood pressure was up and still was having anxiety and trouble sleeping, so my Dr increased the Zoloft to(100mg daily) and recently added buspar, 3x daily, I do feel better except my weight is going up even with exercise which is causing allot of new stress. Would you agree the meds are increasing my weight? I'm a while make 46, 5'11 199 lbs.
Avatar f tn I was put on zoloft about 10 years ago after being diagnosed with Post Partium depression and GED. I also have ADHD. Every time I have tried to get off of it I have freaked out, crying uncontrolibly, irrability, surreal feelings. I'm certain these were withdrawal b/c it's the same every time I've tried. I'm probably didn't weam myself off slowly enough. I have a lot less sensitivity when I'm on zoloft and seem to have thicker skin.
Avatar n tn I was on 150mg of Zoloft for about 2 years. I Tried to ween off and was down to about 50mg every couple days and my anxity can back so I went back up to 100mg daily then back to 150mg daily. I have been on it now back up to 150mg for almost 2 weeks now and have not seen any change. How long should it take before it kicks in?? Or do I need to go back to Dr's and have him up it? Did I screw it up by trying to ween of and now Zoloft wont work for me anymore??
Avatar n tn it was just a coincidence. I started Zoloft 50mg and the tinnitus subsided. At zoloft 100mg, it subsided even more, almost disappearing. I went off Zoloft completely again and the tinnitus returned with all its fury. I started again and the tinnitus once again subsided. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'll keep taking Zoloft for tinnitus, even though I feel no need for an anti-depressant.
Avatar n tn Is there anything I should know about how to take my Synthroid, 75 mcg and Zoloft, 150? I would like to know if I should take them separately and if so, how many hours apart?
