Avatar f tn Its basically just unhealthy for the inside of your nose. Can cause a deviated septum and other things like that. Not to mention the fact that since you are making it an immediate release the addiction potential rises considerably.

Avatar n tn Now the inside of my nose has been eaten away. I have been told by my ENT that I have a deviated septum now and acute chronic sinunitus. He gave me a great receipe for a nasal solution that helps but not enough. In the mornings, my nose is so dry and stopped up that it hurts. When I try to blow all the muscus out, it is dry and hard so it hurts terribly. I have used tweesers to help pull some out but it is getting annoying. It seems to be so far up my nose that I can't get to it easily.
Avatar n tn Im pretty sure i dont have a deviated septum because i dont think i have been using long enough or often enough (6 months a couple times a week). But my left septum is inflamed and red and gets sore and bleeds when i use that side. I know everyone is gonna tell me to stop especially that nostril. Please no lectures or advice on kickin the habbit just wonder if anyone else ever experienced this, the outcome, or any insight would be helpful. Thank you...
1057642 tn?1254370903 See a doctor about your nose, you may be in the beginning stages of a deviated septum, who knows? You need to seek medical attention for that, though.
Avatar m tn In general, (please only docs or people with personal experience), how long in terms of months or years or days or whatever and the avg grams of coke does it take to create a deviated septum? Will 5 months of 35 grams do it? That seems like a short period but I guess alot fo coke. Will it heal if stopped completely. Does the saline spray really help it to heal and is there really a sreay Neosporin in the US? Only heard of oinment? Will these and/or anything correct that issue.
Avatar m tn Snorting pills is terrible for your nose and can do major damage. I got a deviated septum after a few years of snorting cocaine and oxys. It was the same for me..it didnt hurt when I was using but after stopping for a few days it was like a dry burning feeling almost like it was scabbing up. Ive known people who has even holes right through there septum and ended up having major surgery just to breathe again. It is best to stop this and never do it again.
Avatar m tn If you notice you may be breathing differently out of each side from time to time. I have the opposite problem, my septum is deviated towards the right. I have also had a septoplasty but it didn't do much to solve my problem. After the years I came to realize that it got deviated to the right because I found it very comfortable to sleep on my right and slept on my right side for years.
Avatar n tn im glad your reaching out for help. you are so young and can put this behind you now, before it's too late. the fact you are now having problems with your nose is a bad sign. stop now before you get a deviated septum, or worse yet a heart attack. i have a deviated septum from using coke and you don't want this to happen, it's very very very messy. hope you keep posting and work on getting clean. good luck to you.
Avatar f tn i am never touching it again i swear and i will stick around here for support, the whistling must be something else then, also another quick question maybe i am just being paranoid as no one else has mentioned it but when i look at the outside of my nose my nose looks slightly bent in on the bad side would this be a deviated septum or just where the tissue has eroded and if it is just the tissue when it regenerates will my nose look normal to me again, sorry for all the questions i just need t
Avatar f tn Hi, I have a severely deviated septum on the left side and was getting a Covid swab by an overzealous nurse. She poked me all the way up the left side where my septum was deviated, felt resistance and kept going. I felt a sudden bout of pain and she finally retracted the swab. Two days later I wake up with clear salty liquid dripping down my throat. I also have a massive daily headache, eye pressure and sensitivity to light.
4556201 tn?1356445652 Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. In Elementary school, I fractured my nose pretty bad. Then in my early teens, I realized I had a 'bump' on the bridge, & a deviated septum. The 'bump' is caused by 2 super sharp bones sticking out. (It's so extreme/sharp that family & friends I let touch it were *all* really shocked by it, & assured me it was*not* normal.
Avatar f tn Hello, I wanted to know the risksof having a deviated septum fixed. I had this problem for over 10 years and it seems to keep coming back. I had it fix twice before. I am noticing that the cartilage in my nose seems less so I am concerned. I don't want to have to keep getting surgery to correct my deviated septum. Is there any other options (besides nose sprays)?
Avatar m tn i was diagnosed year 2007 with severe deviated septum prior to this i have been experiencing some weird feelings about my health throughout my childhood , teenage and adolescent years. Let me share you my experiences about my health so you could enlighten me if those weird feelings are related to sinusitis/deviated septum as what i am thinking of or you might have experience the same thing.
Avatar f tn The headaches were also on the left side due to pressure from the clogged nostril. He told me I had a deviated septum. I scheduled surgery that day because he said he could fix my problem and make it easier to breathe. Well he did make it easier to breathe out of the clogged side, but he moved the septum too far and now I cannot breathe out of what was my "good" side. My headaches are worse than they were before the surgery.
538090 tn?1213808112 I was diagnosed with a deviated septum and was told by my ENT specialist that i need a surgery ( September 8th, 2008) along with turbinate reduction. I was doing alright until I had a bout of flu four weeks ago and this made my life miserable. Then came along bronchitis which made my breathing through the mouth impossible. I am still having a little wheezing on my left chest and took an x-ray yesterday. I will have an answer within two days to see what the actual diagnosis will be.
Avatar f tn I got in to see the ENT dr a week ahead of schedule. I have chronic sinusitis, scars on both ears from past infections, and "fairly severe deviated septum,". He had trouble getting the scope up my nose, had to go to a smaller one. He put me on a "push" of prednisone, antibiotics, and Nasonex. Also scheduled a CT scan of sinus's in a month to see if infection is gone. Then he said we would decide what to do. My sx were a constant drippy nose, pressure in ears, headaches.
Avatar n tn So I went to the ENT today and had them stick that scope up my nose and apparently I have a pretty bad deviated septum ... he gave me a script for a nasal spray and an antibiotic but I'm not sure what the antibiotic is for, I don't like taking antibiotics if I don't have to so I'm hesitant to take that. He mentioned surgery but for the possible future ... I'm hoping the nasal spray will help the allergies and the post nasal drip ...
2058275 tn?1330706149 Assuming you are referring to a deviated NASAL septum (FYI there is a region of the heart called the septum), the answer is POSSIBLY. A deviated nasal septum, when severe, could impair normal respiratory pattern. In some cases this has led to loud snoring and even obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). OSA could cause inadequate oxygenation during sleep, putting extra stress on the heart, which has been linked to the development and worsening of atrial fibrillation (AF).
Avatar f tn Hi, a deviated nasal septum can cause an obstruction to breathing and correction will ensure that your symptoms will improve. But this may not help correct the post nasal drip. Post nasal drip could be due to a sinus infection, a cold or a chronic allergy. These can lead to a post nasal drip and lead to an irritation in the throat. It could be sinusitis, if it is accompanied by nasal stuffiness and facial pain or pressure. Post nasal drip could also be due to allergens.
Avatar m tn I have been having chronic problems with post nasal drip and pressure on the bridge of my nose. It's not terribly bothersome, rather annoying. Let me explain what I mean by post nasal drip. I feel like there is constantly mucus stuck in the back of my nose. It isn't really dripping down my throat, rather just sitting in the back of my nose. It feels thick and I often have to snort in order to get it out. It is not discolored, just clear/milky white.
