Avatar m tn The strange thing is that if I bend my head down, the ear goes back to normal, but if I raise my head up , it gets clogged again. I went to an ENT Doctor and made a test for my ear and there was no problem in my ear then he saw my nose and told me that I need to make a surgery for my nose cartilage to solve the ear clogging problem. I don't know if I understood him right, but he said that the left nostril is closing which causes pressure on my left ear and causing it to get clogged.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from ear pain, ear pressure, sinus pressure around my eyes and nose, feel like I am in a daze, cannot wear contacts, puffy eyes, eyes sometimes feel bulgy, and bumps under my top eyelids. My family doctor kept telling me it was allergies and I was on a ton of medications. The medications made me sick, and I wanted to make sure it was allergies, so I went to an allergist. The allergist told me I have absolutely no allergies. Now I was stunned.
Avatar f tn 20 mg ,been on it over 6 weeks now ,I do a have a nasal deviated septum on the right side and that's the side were the problems have been
Avatar f tn Hi, Did you ever find out what was causing your ear issues? I have the exact same thing, deviated septum and ear has pressure/muffled hearing. Thanks!
Avatar f tn my left side nose is deviated,,my voice is hitting left ear,, and ringing in ear is also left only.
1452978 tn?1285110262 Has anyone had the sinus surgery and it helped the dizziness, off balance, and lightheaded feeling. I am have a deviated septum that is being correct. I am nervous I have never had surgery before but I am praying this takes care of the issues. Could someone please share their experiences with me, my surgery is Thursday. Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn I went to an EET and had sinus surgery done a few years ago to open up for drainage and to repair a deviated septum. However, since then the pressure and lightheadedness is getting worse and adding to the equation I've got fullness in my ears. Sometimes at night it's all I can do to stand it; the pressure is so bad. I've been to the doctor complaining several times and he says it's "Indiana sinuses". I just don't know where to turn or what to do.
Avatar n tn I have a deviated septum and feeling of a constantly blocked nose, and my head pressure is absuloutely constant and diffuse frontal / forehead region.
Avatar m tn You may want to see and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor for an acurate diagnosis. They do a more thorough sinus exam with scopes that may reveal something the other doctors are missing. He may order a sinus CT to see if something else is going on as well. Take care and God bless.
Avatar n tn What is more, I went to an ENT just weeks ago in 2018, had a CT scan of the sinuses done, and the ENT tells me that the result is that I have a deviated septum, AGAIN, and will need a repeat surgery for that and to shave down the turbinates. This is ridiculous. I cannot have a septoplasty every 10 years, and furthermore, it accomplished nothing and relieved none of my symptoms the first time! I feel like these forums are pretty useless as well.
Avatar m tn I will try to keep this brief. I have been struggling with sensation of lightheadedness or dizziness and fatigue. It is hard to describe. At worst, it feels almost like presyncope but I don't faint. The baseline feels like I am lightheaded. Cognition is intact and vision is normal except during the presyncope attacks. Those can last minutes or sometimes hours. This has been going on for about a year. MRI, blood work and neurologist consultation all were normal.
Avatar n tn My Dr ordered a CT scan a year ago and said i had a deviated septum and some nasal polyps. I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec.
679481 tn?1226444296 The ent is not impressed that this along with my deviated septum is what is causing the pressure. Can it be? When the ent looked at the scan he said there was a small are of grey in my left ear mastoid, but that would not be causing problems either. My mri showed a 6mm pineal cyst without compression or hydrocephalus. THat is all that is showing that is abnormal. Any ideas as to what could be causing this are greatly appreciated. I am suffering and need to get back to work!
Avatar f tn Hi guys.. so my heart goes out to everyone who'se dealing with these symptoms.. because they are enough to really disable someone.. this has been going on for over 3 years now and it's just gotten severely worse this past year.. I just saw an ENT because of the constant pressure/fullness with both ears, nose is constantly clogged.. and sometimes it switches.. ENT only told me I had a deviated septum and that he didn't beleive in surgery..
Avatar m tn I've been diagnost with a deviated septum and excercised induced astma and was wondering if any one had septum fixed? Would it help with sinus infections and breathing for asthma? Any deviated septum repair stories out there?
Avatar f tn Hi, I have a severely deviated septum on the left side and was getting a Covid swab by an overzealous nurse. She poked me all the way up the left side where my septum was deviated, felt resistance and kept going. I felt a sudden bout of pain and she finally retracted the swab. Two days later I wake up with clear salty liquid dripping down my throat. I also have a massive daily headache, eye pressure and sensitivity to light.
Avatar f tn but after I was crying for a really long time a few days ago (2+ hours) I’ve noticed on the left side of my face (which is where my deviated septum is pointed towards.) that i feel pressure and ear pressure etc on that side. Which then i noticed a annoying slightly cold air feeling when breathing in. Now i usually only notice it when i’m hyper focused on it and there’s rare occasion where i’ve been distracted recently and didn’t notice it at all.
Avatar m tn I have been having chronic problems with post nasal drip and pressure on the bridge of my nose. It's not terribly bothersome, rather annoying. Let me explain what I mean by post nasal drip. I feel like there is constantly mucus stuck in the back of my nose. It isn't really dripping down my throat, rather just sitting in the back of my nose. It feels thick and I often have to snort in order to get it out. It is not discolored, just clear/milky white.
Avatar f tn Hi, the common cause for sinusitis is Deviated nasal septum (DNS). This condition leads to obstruction. This can lead to sinus infection, ear infection and headaches. Other possibilities are laryngeal web, asthma, any structural abnormalities in the nasal passage such as nasal polyps, hypertrophied turbinates etc. You need to undergo detailed examination of nose and radiography of the sinuses to rule out existing sinusitis.
Avatar f tn The headaches were also on the left side due to pressure from the clogged nostril. He told me I had a deviated septum. I scheduled surgery that day because he said he could fix my problem and make it easier to breathe. Well he did make it easier to breathe out of the clogged side, but he moved the septum too far and now I cannot breathe out of what was my "good" side. My headaches are worse than they were before the surgery.
Avatar f tn Hi, a deviated nasal septum can cause an obstruction to breathing and correction will ensure that your symptoms will improve. But this may not help correct the post nasal drip. Post nasal drip could be due to a sinus infection, a cold or a chronic allergy. These can lead to a post nasal drip and lead to an irritation in the throat. It could be sinusitis, if it is accompanied by nasal stuffiness and facial pain or pressure. Post nasal drip could also be due to allergens.
Avatar f tn I have heard of a perforated septum and deviated septum- Can these things lead to a feeling of your eye starting to sink in (it totally is not noticable to look at) its just a slight feeling. What is that all about? AND from there can it cause more damage to your ear drums? Like having a popping or clicking sound when blowing by nose. I would appreciate any advise- insurance issues, surgerys, natural healing, but please dont say to me to stop doing cocaine.
Avatar m tn I considered the possibility of dental problems and had a thorough checkup to that effect. It revealed nothing abnormal. I also underwent sinus surgery for a deviated septum and unfortunately that hasn't remedied the problem. Some days I feel better than others, and I haven't been able to correlate it with anything (weather/food/sleep/etc). Are neurological problems likely at my age (28)?
