Avatar n tn PRISTIQ is an extended-release tablet for oral administration that contains desvenlafaxine succinate, a structurally novel SNRI for the treatment of MDD. Pristiq is an SNRI while Wellbutrin is not. Abilify is not in either class, it is totally different.
Avatar n tn Desvenlafaxine, (Pristiq) like any of the psychotropic meds, has a great number of possible side effects, but a delay in menstrual cycles is NOT listed in the PDR. If there is no possibility you may be pregnant, the delay in your period is no doubt due to stress relative to the depression. Since you have only been on desvenalafaxine for one week, I'm assuming your prescribing doctor wants you back for a follow up in a few weeks time.
Avatar f tn For instance, the smaller the diameter of the vessel the more resistance...diameter can be reduced by a buildup of plague and/or soft plaque that narrows (stenosis) the lumen (vessel channel). Medication that dilates the vessel reduces the resistance. Trivial MV regurgitation does not have any symptoms and is considered medically insignificant. Not an uncommon condition and almost never progresses nor cause any symptoms.

Avatar f tn My understanding is that its reduced blood flow to the heart. (IF) I understood it correctly, then you have moderate reduced blood flow to the heart? I dont understand why they are not treating you (finding out what caused it etc...)? Is there any way you can get a new cardiologist? Bring that report in to your cardioloigst and tell him you want answers. http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn Many individuals do well with mild to moderate MVR, but to answer your question when to consider MVR intervention is before the EF is reduced and heart size is normal. Mild to moderate MVR is not life threatening but it does place an added stress to the heart as each heartbeat is pumping less output because some blood flows back into the left atrium.

Avatar m tn There were no signs of global hypokinesis. There is mild-moderate tricuspid regurgitation. RV systolic pressure is 17 mmHg. Tricuspid regurgitant velocity was 1.7 cm/s. Also, there is mild enlargement of my RV and LV chambers. My cardiologist did not seem alarmed and told me to go back to running and come back in three months with bp measurements. My bp was a little high from not exercising: around125/85.
Avatar m tn My resting pulse rate has reduced from 80 +/- 5 to 70 +/- 5 during last one month and during this period dose of medicines including beta blockers and ACE-I remained unchanged. My BP(110/70) and activities also remained consistant during this period. My echo one month back indicated enlargement of LA/LV and moderate MVR. I suffered ischemic heart attack about 9 months back with LV disfunction and 30% EF. I am feeling better over this period.

Avatar n tn Hi my son is 1 year old now and he was diagnosed with a 5-6 mm moderate sized vsd at birth and we have been following up by doing echo tests every 3 months. At about 9 months we were told that the size has reduced a little due to some tissue formation around it and its 4.79 mm now. He has L-R shunt, left heart enlargement. not on any medication. apart from that he's active and has not had much issues with weight gain/activities etc. He was 3.2 kg at birth and is 10.4 kg now.
