Just diagnosised with a small pericardial effusion, all blood tests were negative & EKG was normal. Had 2 ultrasounds/echo within 4 months and there was no change in size. I did have endometrial cancer 5 years ago and the effusion was found on the last CT scan. There had been no recurrence of cancer and have been cancer-free. My cardiologist is assuring me that I am fine as I have no symtoms and the effusion has not gotten bigger and he will moniter me over time.
I had a private bupa scan and it was amazing xxxx so much clearer than the nhs ones xxxx well worth the money xxxx
I was having headaches so the doctor did blood work since I the only time I've had any blood work was the normal tests they do when pregnant. Due to 1st results they repeated the blood work. If I'm reading the doctors sheet correctly it shows:
t-3 uptake 34%
t-4 total10.1 mcg/dL
Free t4 index 3.4
TSH 0.02
He said I was hyper and referred me to an endo. This is a new to me. I looked online and I don't have the symptoms of a person with hyper.
m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.

i started to think to go back home and have an ivf treatment there, at least its gonna be cheaper and faster, and what does the OBYGYN means? is it an other name for gp? and which insurance is the best? we got BUPA one, is it good one? my husband does all the things , but he cant explain a thing.. . hhh man..
Hi. It was a fibrous papule. I had it cut off/our under my Bupa care. I’m left with a small skin colour dent (where it was cut out) but that looks a million times better than the red spot. Hope this helps.
Well there are several types of depression, major depression, chronic depression, bipolar manic depression as examples. Symptoms of depression can include an extreme feeling of sadness, sometimes you can’t sleep or you sleep too much, you cant concentrate, you feel hopeless, you have negative thoughts that you cant control no matter how much you try! you can lose your appetite or sometimes you even gain appetite. You can be easily irritated.
Im feeling tired alot of the time, Im extremley worried and dont know if this pain is caused purley by my worry about it or if indeed they are symptoms of HIV exposure, I have been told this is most likley anxiety because you cannot get HIV from oral sex however i saw on the BUPA website ( UK'S PRIVATE HEALTH COMPANY ) that 6 in every 100 people with HIV get it from oral sex, This has made me absolutly terrified that i may have HIV.
I notice that this website states there is little or no risk but all the UK medical authorities and charities state there is a risk and one (BUPA) states that 3% of male to male transmissionms are through oral sex.

I have been told that my physical symptoms are likely to be due to depression and the lymphocytosis a result of having asthma. I have been taking antidepressants (60mg Duloxetine/ daily - for 12 months), although I stopped taking them 2 months ago as they had no effect on my symptoms. I don't know whether these symptoms are physical or psychological. Can depression cause the physical symptoms i've mentioned above? If so what can I do about it?
Most people who use have depression and alot are not being treated for it. Depression is a real illness just as addiction talk to your Dr. about it and dep. can slip up on you with out you even reliezing it.

The following symptoms aren't really that of PCOS but that of depression (excluding the gushes of blood at menustration). I have PCOS & depression and I have definitely had most of those symptoms due to depression or since it is around menustration it could be Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). I hope that helps.
while a moderatly depressed sufferer could identify with many of my symptoms, (because mine is refractory and cronic) there are many symptoms that I suffer that probably would not be in common with 70% of depression sufferers.
If you do a Google search for "symptoms of depression" then you can easily find a list of syptoms for Mild to moderate Uni-polar and Bi-polar depression.
