It sounds like you were given a basic quiz that doctors and therapists use to determine if a person is at risk for depression, or may be experiencing depression. Those are available at just about every doctor's office. You already seem to be getting help for depression, which is great. I don't know that the quiz will have any kind of impact on your treatment, but it doesn't hurt to fill it out honestly and then share it with your practioner.

s not an easy one for adults. But if the depression has not been treated, it will still be there, and again, drugs don't treat it, they tamp down the symptoms. At that age I'm surprised therapy wasn't tried first, but so it goes.

I'm a 13 year old girl and I really am starting to believe I have depression. I cry every night over things that happened forever ago and don't even matter anymore. I took a quiz and it said somewhere about 94% positive I was depressed I have also taken a quiz and it said I was bipolar and that I have a mental illness causing me to have multiple personalities.

I think it's fairly common for people to be depressed and not realize it. The best definition I heard for depression is that it's not about feeling blue so much as it's not feeling the full range of emotion. Wanting to die to end the pain, tired, numb that would all be indicative of depression (which can also be part of a larger issue too). I find that many of the basic "Are you depressed?

Hi...it sounds like something is definitely going on which warrants a visit to your doctor. Talk to your mom and tell her exactly what you told us, so she can see the seriousness of this. Sometimes as parents we don't want to accept that our child is struggling with something, so you need to really impress upon her how bad this is. If need be, put it in a letter to her, we really hear what is being said when we have to read the words.

well i use to be outside , up ready for school every morning , take showers everyday , do my hair , hanging with friends , eating everything lolll , and yea just happy like any other teen ! now i never hardly go outside unless i walk to the store , i losss alot of friends& my mom has to force me to eat. i usually just lay in bed alllday doing nothing , & i miss my bus , barely take showers or do my hair.

I would say a good place to start is here on this site. They have good information about things like major depressive disorder. None of us here are doctors and can only tell you what we know from our own experiance. What you are describing sounds like depression. There are some symptoms of depression that a doctor would look at to determine if that is what is happening for you. As for bipolar, there are also symptoms of mania which is an excelerated state.

Hi I have a major problem. My teenager, who is 18 years old, was charged with a reckless crime. The max sentence is 4 years in prison for this crime. I find myself looking up suicide statistics because I don't think I can handle him going to jail or worse yet prison. I've found a attorney so hopefully he can help .I also have cancer am worried about that. I don't know what to do. How do I survive?

Despite it seeming like it when you are a teenager, sex is not really all mechanics. My husband used to joke that when he was a teenager, "all someone would have to do is look at my *** crosseyed and I'd get a hard-on," and the ready hormone flow of being a teen seem sometimes to provide endless proof of that.

So last night I took the online baby gender quiz & all of them came back I'm having a Girl. I've did 5 different ones hopefully it is Correct! I mean i've taken it before with my first two pregnancies & it told me I was having boys & it was right each time!! I don't think he should take drugs for depression unless he's thinking of suicide or attempted suicide or he's hurting himself a lot. I understand a little where he is.

I haven't tried it. I took the Old Wive's Tale quiz and it said I was having a girl but some of the questions are really silly. Like the pillow to the north or south. My pillow is to the East. How do I answer that question? Can't. And like, the shape of my belly....oh I don't know that one I barely have a belly lol. So I could not take advantage of that quiz even though it is just a quiz. But, I did it just for fun. I'll have to try the Chinese calendar.
