Avatar f tn That is not like me, and I also had continual heart palpitations all day too. That scared me, has anyone else had the heart palpitations, does it go away eventually? I haven't taken anymore today yet. I have a history of heart palpitations due to anxiety. Any help or advice would be appreciated from anyone. Thankyou in advance!
2010625 tn?1329372056 Have any of you had heart palpitations without feeling anxious, or with no anxiety attack? I did an experiment and took an Ativan (I only take them as needed) to see if it would make them go away. That was an hour ago, and no change they are still there. I have been to the doctors a couple times recently, and they saw nothing abnormal. I guess anything is possible, but this just seems odd to me??? So what do you guys think?
994817 tn?1249738278 So I've just been diagnosed with GAD and Panic Disorder. My doctor wants to put me on anti-depressant (anti-anxiety) medication. I'm not sure which ones. Anyway, she said the first two weeks were harsh cause your body is getting used to the medicine. But I just started school and can't really deal with that so I'm holding off on the medicine till I see what a psychiatrist thinks. I have an app. with one very soon. Well, I have pretty severe anxiety. Let me tell you!
Avatar f tn I was also experiencing heaviness in my chest and heart palpitations. Right before I started my medication I had two panic attacks in school for merely being in a crowd that was making a lot of noise. i would also get chronic pain in wrists, ankles, etc. 4 days after I started my medication i shot out of bed and went into another panic attack that had me shivering. I have a terrible fear of death and without my medicine I get panic attacks ...
400867 tn?1371753094 I just started a medrol pack today and I'm having heart palpitations. I've heard that this can be a side effect of steroids but I wanted to make sure. Help! Thanks so much.
Avatar n tn 1% of the total beat count, were noted. 20 episodes of ST depression were noted in channel 1. The maximum depression of -2.6mm occurred in channel 1 at 14:37. Channel 1 was the primary channel during the analysis. well the question is what does this mean? Am I ok? They sent me to have a stress test and an ecocardiogram. just to make sure everything was ok. Can it be something else?
Avatar f tn I'm 15 years old and have been suffering with anxiety for about 6 months now , and it hasn't been getting any better. It first started with heart palpitations when on my PS3 then they wouldn't stop for about a week , this was in August 2015 . Now it's April 10 2016 and I now suffer with social anxiety and depression. My heart palpitations have came back an I'm scared because it's making my heart feel like it's stopping and jumping out of my chest .
Avatar f tn I have been to my family doctor because I was concerned about heart palpitations. She gave me anti-anxiety meds which I thought helped. But I'm still having the palpitations. They take my breath away and sometimes it's when I am just sitting there very calm. I'm now wondering if it's related to mold exposure. Here is a list of my symptoms and bear in mind that I do suffer from depression as well. I'm not on amy meds at this time.
Avatar n tn My palpitations have stopped but the mood swings and depression have returned to just how they were before I reduced the dose. I do not know what to do..go back to my original doctor and tell her this? or continue on the 50 mg for 5 more weeks before I see the psychiatrist again? I can't take these moodswings and return to depression again.
Avatar f tn I have been taking the medication for a few weeks and these symptoms just started. I like the other benefits of my depression medication so I would rather not go off it it, but I can't help but feel like I am about to drop dead suddenly of a heart attack (at the risk of sounding dramatic, I know, but it really feels this way). Should I just trust that my heart is structurally fine and the PVCs are just normal for me? I'd hate to go through another round of tests for nothing.
Avatar n tn I just started Levothyroxine 50mcg 9 days ago and so far really do not feel any different apart from heart palpitations in the evenings. I am seeing my doc later today to get his opinion on this as I am not happy about it - v scary. I hope you get some responses to this post.
Avatar m tn My endo said there are no side effects when taking this medication but I started taking it a few days ago and feel like my heart has been beating heavily and fast most of the time and feel like i can't do much. It's really worrying me. Is this normal, is it an adjustment to the medication or is there something else going on? I understand that the medication will "switch off" my thyroid and let it rest - is that how it works and does it do that straight away?
Avatar n tn Inderal should help with physical sensations common to anxiety such as racing heart beat; palpitations; sweaty palms etc. They probably won't do anything to help you feel less depressed. What are your main symptoms & are you taking any other meds or having any sort of therapy? How long have you been taking the Inderal & what is your dose? Best wishes to you.

1763027 tn?1313344037 and they say it might be depression !!! . So can depression cause my heart to pound really hard and cause lightheadedness 24/7 ?
Avatar f tn I have been on Armour thyroid for 40 years with no problems and I guess from what I have read, I should consider myself very fortunate. In December I started with the heart palpitations and feeling bad. This has continued more than not until present time. I was decreased from 135 mg to 120 mg to 90 mg and lowered my dosage to 75 mg (I informed my doctor and he said that was fine if I was feeling better with that dose).
Avatar f tn He saw my right hand was shaking a lot and he said my thyroid was very warm and I had some palpitations when he listend to my heart. I still have a fast heart rate with some palpitations in the morning and my right hand only shakes a lot. I always had a fast heart rate of 90-100 most of my life. My internist said the same thing that the dosages of the medications seems a bit high especially with my sensitivities to medicines.
774736 tn?1311331385 Hello man, im 20, i feel similar to you had one panic attack last january and something has changed inside me, i have been having palpitations everyday since, and can always feel my heart beating, i have had tests done which are clear, yet i still keep thinking in the back of my mind that there is something wrong with my heart, i am currently scraping my way through college even though my attention span feels like it has almost diminshed, have exams in 4 weeks and getting seriously freaked.
Avatar f tn Before I got pregnant I had really bad heart palpitations. My doctor said to come off my medication as they don't know if they do anything to an unborn baby. Basically I'm 24 weeks and for the last 20 weeks I haven't had any palpitations but the last 3 days I've had them really badly! I'm currently being treated for a bad uti as well and on antibiotics so I don't know if its got anything to do with that. I have midwife this afternoon. Should I mention it?
Avatar n tn Two days ago I experienced heart palpitations that lasted about 5 minutes or so. I read that this medication can have negative cardiac side effects. Sometimes even deadly. Am I worrying for nothing?
Avatar f tn Which thyroid test would show the hormone level that would be causing heart palpitations or racing heartbeat? Would the symptoms be caused by a high or low level of that hormone?
Avatar m tn That's what worries me, I'm 41 now and no longer the young, athletic 20 year old. I did start taking a medication (steroid) for an inflammation in my sinuses on Friday, which is the exact day these most recent flareups started so I'm actually hoping it's the medication. One of the side effects IS heart palpitations. Other than that, I have good days and bad days....
Avatar f tn I always had palpitations since I was 14 but got worse over the years. I had a ultrasound years ago, everything was normal. Last year when I noticed got worse I went to cardiologist for first time. She sent me for ultrasound, ECG, stress test , holter and blood work.
Avatar m tn Haven't taken AD meds for heart issues before myself, but I do have palpitations (PVC's) and the occasional "flutter". But I got put on beta blockers because of these and HBP. However I was recently put on Fluoxetine (Prozac) for CDD, and they seem to have completely gone away.
