Avatar n tn Hair loss does not sound like depression, but then we are all different when it comes to the symptoms. Certainly irrability is a sign of depression, but then it could just be stress. Only a doctor can tell you this.
Avatar f tn I would suggest that you get your hormones checked. Cortisol, thyroid and androgens would impact mood, tummy and your electrolytes and vitamins. Have you seen an endocrinologist?

Avatar m tn pain develops not exactly in the stomatch but in he lower part of my body in the excretory parts..
1560780 tn?1300843625 Well, those symptoms can all be symptoms of depression, but for it to be depression there'd have to be mood symptoms too. And usually with such prominent physical symptoms, it'd be pretty extreme mood symptoms, such that they'd be the thing you'd be thinking of most. although highly psychosomatic depression is not unheard of, so yes, it's a possibility. But I'd try for physical causes first.

Avatar f tn Anger is seemingly a part of many depressions and it also seems that it is the anger that causes the depression as the person (including me) has been taught as a child to not be angry. So it turns inwards, punishing yourself when the anger should be directed outwards.
Avatar m tn In the article on depression symptoms, treatments, and prevention, it says that hyperthyroidism is a risk factor for depression and that it causes too little hormone to be produced - shouldn't that be hypothyroidism? Please clarify. Thanks!
Avatar n tn m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.
Avatar f tn Lots of people have magnesium deficiency and it causes headaches. Low levels cause anxiety and depression. But you should get tested for Celiac disease. The good news is that if you have it and you get off gluten, the Raynaud's will go away. You will need to take supplements for anything you are deficient in, but then you will start to feel better. Don't just go off gluten as a test because then you can't get the blood tests.
Avatar f tn I have been struggling with chronic nausea for over 2 years and the last time I was at the doctor they asked if I had any anxiety or depression. At first my thought was no...but then I began to think back and realize I have a fear of food (because I always get nauseous) and when I am stressed about something my symptoms always get ten times worse. My doctor said I could have anxiety that is in my subconscious and causing gut symptoms and nausea.

Avatar m tn What's the differences between CNS depression? May i know what's the causes of depression? Does it relate to the neurotransmitter? Diazepam is an anti-depressant? It enhances the effect of GABA by binding to the benzodiazepine site on the GABA A-receptor. After binding to the receptor, may i know what's the next mechanism? GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter? If GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, how does diazepam can cause anti-depress? I heard that it can treat seizure?
