Avatar n tn s research has shown that people who experience these beats are statistically NO MORE LIKELY to die of sudden heart attack, heart failure or other cardiac causes at an early age. There is a SLIGHT, but negligable, association of persistant ectopics (upwards of 10-25,000/day) causing cardiomyopathy. This is not a common situation however, and if you are under the care of a cardiologist who will check on your symptoms usually annually, this is unlikely and if it does happen is treatable. So...
Avatar m tn Hello, Any chest pain is cardiac in origin unless proved otherwise. Chest pain can happen because of gastrointestinal causes like GERD, esophageal spasm, peptic ulcer disease, psychogenic like anxiety and depression, neuromusculoskeletal like thoracic outlet syndrome and costochondritis, pulmonary like pulmonary embolism and involvement of pleura and cardiac causes. EKG, stress test and Stress echo need to be done to rule out any cardiac cause.

Avatar f tn There are many causes for heart disease. There is a hereditary component, but many risk factors can be managed to reduce the risk such as proper diet, exercise, not smoking, moderate lifestyle, etc. What may be an issue with you as related to a heart risk could be your response to stressful situations that cause anxiety, etc. You are seeing a doctor and being treated so that may bode well for a reduction of any associated heart risk. Thanks for sharing, and take care.
Avatar f tn Sometimes I have body aches that make me feel like I have the flu. I also have a dull pain in my left jaw and sometimes pain radiating down my neck. My doctor has run several tests including thyroid function, glucose, and some neurological studies. Everything comes back perfect, but I still feel bad. Could this be a heart condition? Should I be more pro-active by seeking out a cardiologist on my own? There is a lot of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease in my family.

Avatar n tn Start with your gallbladder and then have the doctor check your stomach. My grandmother had severe chest pain one night and thought she was having a heart attack. When she arrived at the hospital, they said that they were going down her stomach to have a look. Sure enough, she had a stomach tumor, benign and the doctors said that she had it for years and did not have any symptoms until that one night.
Avatar m tn what are other causes for the pancreas to become inflammed, to the point the pain sent me to the hospital, other than booze as I haven't drank heavily for years and now only have 1 or 2 drinks a month if that. the Doctors are persistant in saying that this is alcohol related but, I haven't had a drink in three weeks prior to this incodent. Avatar n tn It just seems my heart is off and can beat very fast. I know depression causes physical changes to take place and I do have acid stomach, cramps, sleeping a lot and as embarrassing as this is shower once a week and its a struggle to brush my teeth because deep down I no longer care enough. I have had depression 2 other times only my heart never beated fast back then. This depression however seems longer and more dragged out with a lot more crying.
Avatar f tn one who has your best interest at heart. It sounds to me like you are depressed which causes us to not want to do anything, sleep a lot, have no motivation to do anything, and physically hurt. Make an appt. to see a psychiatrist so the two of you can decide the best course of treatment for you. I recommend a psychiatrist because they are most knowledagble with the kinds of medication to treat depression. We're close in age and I agree that your body shouldn't hurt like that.
Avatar n tn You will want to get your heart checked out. If that comes back fine, they may consider a GI issue, such as esophageal in nature and they might also try to rule out costochondritis. Also, even though you've had a hysterectomy, you may want to get your blood iron and ferritin checked, as it's still possible to develop iron deficiency anemia (experience). Anemia can cause dizziness and fatigue.

Avatar n tn I have been experience constant pain for six months. It started with heart palpitations. After three days in the hospital with an echo, EKGs, and heart enzyme studies, it was determined that the issue is not related to my heart. The palpitations eventually subsided but that pain that presented with them has not. In fact, it's gotten much worse. Sometimes it's all of the way down my arm into my finger tips. It feels like it's in my muscle.
Avatar f tn Yesterday, I had the worst heart pain I have every had and went to the ER to die. It was diagnosed as Pericarditis. They gave me morphine and some kind of anti-inflamatory meds and in awhile I discovered I would survive. They sent me home the next day and now I'm afraid of every tinge. I still am taking anti-inflammation meds but it seems to just be laying there ready to start again. I have a pacemaker, have had triple bypass surgery, and an ablation for atrial flutter.

Avatar f tn I’ve been dealing with headaches, eye pain, brain fog, heavy legs, depression and very bad anxiety for about 4/5 years. I’m afraid to go outside and bump into someone I know and have a conversation because i already know that I’m going to be uncomfortable and in pain. It’s painful for me to even move my body and walk for 5 minutes. I’ve done every test and they are all negative and nobody knows what it is.

My personal experience is that PMS, hormone shifts, temporary bouts of weepiness, are all but eliminated within minutes of my taking but one of these things. I am not very deficient in mg, but I take them 3 days before menstruation and it helps prevent problems too. I also get a very "Prozac-like" after effect the next day.

4250330 tn?1388621179 Another possibility that can explain the pain is pericarditis. It causes chest pain aggravated by laughing yawning and deep breathing and also causes radiation of pain to arms. Again an EKG, heat echo and chest X-ray is required. Stabbing chest pains can also be due to a bad gastric reflux. It is difficult to diagnose this for you. You can take antacids and see if it helps. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
