Depo provera withdrawal side effects

Common Questions and Answers about Depo provera withdrawal side effects

depo-provera

Has anyone experienced any bad side effects from the hcg shots? I am administering them myself and just want to know what to look out for.
days when I can barely function and have also experienced symptoms of hypoglycemia and panic attacks and or crying jags for no reason. I have been reading a lot about the Depo side effects some women have had and they mirror mine. I've had a thyroid test and it was fine, so I don't think that I'm diabetic. I have been trying to eat well and clense with milk thistle to try to hasten the exit of the Depo.
I've been reading alot of different side effects from different people on the depo provera shot.. some that go from hair loss to joint pain, mood swings, water retention, WEIGHT GAIN ..and the list goes on and on.
I have an 8 year old DD and the only thing that is keeping me from #2 is the Depo, I still have side effects. Had I known then, what I know now, I never would have gotten the first shot, much less stayed on it for 6 years. Good Luck.
Is it like saying just taking longer birth control pills? What are the side effects? What are the benefits? Has FDA approved? Where i can search more about Yaz? Will it affect my future plan of having a healthy pregnancy? Also, i was told if i do want to get pregnant, i should wait 6 months after taking the birth control pills. is that true?
(not this one) Okay, now, my concern is the effcts after STOPPING yasmin. I understand that all bc pills are different and so are we women as far as side effects go. I have read postings about women who stopped taking yasmin and have experienced the following: - anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations and fluttering - depression - excessive weight gain - hair loss *I already have a prob. with depression, anxiety and panic attacks, so I am currently on medication.
I was on the Depo Shot for about 6 years and I had no side effects at all. I think it just depends on you. The patch you have a greater chance of developing blood clots because of the estrogen. Bad things happen when you take extra estrogen. I ended up going off the Depo shot because it causes bone density problems. They only reccomend now that you can get the shot for 2 years. When I stopped getting the shot I got my period back in about a month.
I'm interested in hearing people's opinions of it. Any adverse side effects? Issues with tolerance/dependence/withdrawal? Thanks!
from getting off of the shot, but finally after going to a major hospital and seeing a GI specialist and a OBGYN they both told me that I was having the withdrawal effects from depo. I have my full story posted on my page if you would like to read it. Just Google "depo provera withdrawals" and you will see. The pills are masking a lot of the symptoms now and you would be having a much harder time if you were not on them.
My methods have either been condoms/spermacide, depo-provera, or the Mirena IUD. Definitely put a call into your doctor or planned parenthood, they can help you decide what method is the best. As far as regular lubes go, we like Aqualube, sold at Rite-Aid. Astroglide is okay, not a fan of KY, avoid any "prolonging" or ones that claim to heat up, they can cause some problems. Good luck!
Can’t forget the crying that goes along with anxiety! When I was 21 yrs old (in 1998), I was put on birth control (Depo Provera shot) to shrink ovarian cysts. The shot took away my period. Yay!! I was on the shot for 10 years and didn't have a period so I didn't have to deal with period anxiety. But the shot caused me to gain weight, about 50lbs. So I decided that I wouldn't go back and get another shot. I lost about 30lbs so far!
I started Celexa 7 days ago and, although I want to be positive, can't help but worry that it will not alleviate the anxiety and apprehension that were exacerbated by months I spent on Effexor XR and, most recently, by receiving my first Depo Provera treatment. I am doing relaxation exercises and will be starting NLP and TLT shortly. I just want to be me again (happy, carefree and not afraid). Am I making a mistake going on Celexa? Has it been an effective treatment for GAD?
When the dr questioned me on why I wanted the device removed I told him the story. Do you know what he said to me ? That these are not side effects of the Mirena. BULLSH.IT !! I see it as my body did everything it could to fight off this foreign object inside of me. That day he asked me when the last time i had an infection and I told him just on Monday that I was itching. So he took a culture and what a surprise I had a bacterial infection !!
Two nights ago, which was day 20, I was driving home from work and my Mom called me.She knows about the Tramadol and the withdrawal. She also knew there was something VERY wrong with me while I was on it. But again, because she knew I had chronic pain and a DOCTOR gave this to me, she didn't say anything and wouldn't really have known to say anything about it. Anyhow, at first her voice sounded way too loud. Horribly loud. Like a robot almost. A metallic quality to her voice.
-) I would also keep a ovulation calender to make sure you're not having sex that week. all birth control will have side effects, but its uncommon.
As much as I want to lose weight, the list of side effects for Topomax scares me. My current med, Effexor/Lithium has side effects such as weight gain, constipation, tremor, etc. While I hate being fat, blurry vision ans brain fog don't appeal to me either. Of course there are also the risks of diabetes and heart disease from being overweight too. I'm having a very hard time deciding about this. Any advice is welcome.
I started to get skipped beats about 8 months ago , about 6 months into my anxiety. I was on the depo provera injection and decided to come off this as i thought it might be contributing to my anxiety. At this stage i was only experiencing "skipped beats" on the rare occasion. When I came off the depo all my anxiety symptoms disappeared by about 80% and when my periods returned after 4 months i was completely anxiety free except for the "skipped beats".
Well, there is really nothing that is effective on moderate to severe pain that does not have side effects or the potential for dependance. Even Ultram is found to be addicting when at first it was the best thing since sliced bread. I am soooo tired of docs and pharmacists and even nurses (in I think it was Annie's case,) lecturing us about addiction....No F&%#&ing **** narcotics CAN be addicting but so can prednisone, nasal spray, Come on , Pain Medication was invented for a reason!
I thinkk I am going to try and stop the pills. I was just wondering if anyone had similar side effects from birth control pills. Thank you!
In contrast benzodiazapines, like Xanax, have serious withdrawal and rebound effects if stopped abruptly and even when tapered off slowly, the withdrawal symptoms can be uncomfortable. I am not afraid to take Xanax because it provides help with anxiety when I really need it. I just don't take it regularly, that is, every day. I only take it when I don't have time or energy to try all of those other things.
i have the implant in and i am getting it tuk owt n munday coz i have put 2 stone on by using it, so i am going back on the pill, but the doctor has taking me off the pill b4 bcoz i suffer frm migranes and it make them worse, any ideas??
The hormones are so low it is safe to nurse and the effects do not linger in your system upon removal. In fact I didn't have any side effects while I had mine other than light period. Hopefully someone who has had the paraguard will respond.
If its tha later, make sure he never gets on a med that has negative sexual side effects, if its the first its easily curable, if its stress then he needs to find the source of the problem and fix it, and increase exercise. The problem is, often guys dont want to get help. When we loose our sexual nature, its hard to admit and it often is some relief in comparison to our normal thinking about sex ever 5 min mode. However, this can be hard on a relationship and cause stress in a marriage.
) About one year into having Mirena, my periods stopped all together. Finally I could not handle the side effects anymore, so on Oct 4 2007 I had it removed. The day after, I started a light period that lasted for 4 days. Nothing since then. If my body was going to return to a 28 day cycle, I should have started 4 days ago. I have taken 3 over the counter tests. The first one had a VERY light positive result, the other two were both imediately negative.
I was having mild period like cramps with the brown spotting but now with the bleeding i have a pain on the left side of my pelvic region. I haven't taken a preg test yet bc i am waiting until a week after my period would normally start to get the best results. I was doing research and found that this could be a symptom of numerous things. (PID, ectopic preg, ovarian cysts, etc. ) has anyone else found out anything?
i really thought that maybe i might be pregnant, but it was wishful thinking on my part, although i still have not had a period, have taken countless pregnancy tests, all negative. but...ther are withdrawel side effects from the mirena that can cause pregnancy symptoms, i didnt know this, its what i have read, other ladies comments.

I took soooo many hpt's this time--I started last Monday--all were negative until this weekend--the day before I was supposed to get my period, so don't get discouraged yet. I'm not familiar with possible side effects of Clomid--could discharge be one of them? I found a site that says "hostile cervical mucas" could be a side effect to clomid--here's the site: http://preconception.com/resources/articles/clomid4u.
my last AF was 2/6 and i 'o'ed on the 21st as well. We have been TTCing after depo for 14 months now. I was 3 days late and tested BFN and wiped and saw pink. I assumed it was AF and then she went away. Where i am on clomid my doc made me go in friday for a blood level to see if i am PG. i have not tested with urine since cuz i cannot stand the disappointment. I know how frustrating this can be for sure. it is even harder when you want it so bad to keep your mind on anything else.
