Hello I just got my cycle back after being on the depo provera shot and it been down since 12-18-2010 I wondering when will be the best time to try for a baby?

i got menstruation November 28 2010 i decided to get inject my contraceptive Depo-Provera because my husband arrival is December so got safe for 3 months..after 3 months February 13 2011 to be exact his departure...after that i dont get my Depo-Provera again i got my spotting on march and april 27 2011 a regular menstration for 5 days.Unxpected my husband got back may 24,2011 we contact to each other (sex)...

Depo Provera { Started 5/20/2010, Last Shot 2/9/2012 } Before I started getting the Depo Provera Injections I always had a normal, slightly heavy period. Minimal cramping. After taking Depo Provera for 1 year I finally lost my periods.

I received my first depo provera shot in march 2010, my last shot was in april 2011. While I was on Depo I had a period every 3 months right before I was due for my next shot. I was due for my last shot in July but Decided I wanted to stop taking birth control. I got my period as expected and then didn't get the shot. A week later i got my period again, and then about 2 or 2 1/2 weeks i got my period again. Now it has been about 5 weeks without a period.

it all depends on your body, my sister fell quickly with her first 2 kids but wasn't on depo, she had 2 shots of depo and it took her 10 months to conceive with my nephew. I however was on depo for 2 and a half years and have been off of it the same length of time and have yet to conceive. As you have only had one shot i think your chances may be good but remeber a healthy couple can take from 1-2 years to conceive so don't stress too much.

I'm new here, was wondering if anyone else has had DEPO (provera) Birth Control injections, and now TTC? Quick question... which Depo are you on? There are two kinds, that I'm aware of: Depo Provera or Depo Lupron. I had tried the Provera when I was about 16 for about a year. I had to stop because I could not handle the side effects any longer. I did spot for about 3 months. It usually takes a few months for your system to get used to it. The Lupron stops your period completely and basically puts your body into menopause, which is the one I am currently on.

I have been on the Depo Provera shot for more than 5 years now. I read that the recommended amount of time that a young woman should be on Depo is only 2 years. I am 20 now and I have been on it since I was 15. I have tried to come off of it once. I bled for about 3 weeks and then got back on it. Currently I have all kinds of pain.
