no not the depo provera sot.. just regular provera..

ive been on the depo shot for a while my last one was due in Feb and i didnt take it my doctor did a pregnancy test came back neg and now im on my second round of provera also my breast and my underarms were very tender after taking provera it went away wonder when my period will start.

m outside the normal range of time after stopping Depo Provera to have gotten my periods back. Could Depo be causing these problems or does it sound like something else could be a problem?

I was on depo provera for 3 years and got my last injection in october 2008 its been 15 months and i have not had a period... i was given provera for 10 days with no results and bc pills for 4months and still nothing... i also had a pelvic ultrasound and everything was ok... me and my husband are trying to concieve but have had no luck... is there anything else i can do to get a period. please help!

If you came off of the depo provera , theres no side effects when you come off of it but you may get your period back. I went off of the depo provera for 3 yrs ago and it took another 3 yrs. to get pregnant.

Hi, my girlfriend lives overseas and she's on depo provera. She gets the shot once or twice a year only (not every 12 or 13 weeks). She has it injected one month in advance, every time before I travel overseas to visit her and have sex. I know depo provera meant to provide over 99% protection after 7 days, but we like to be extra cautious and wait a month before having sex. She had her last shot in September, and I visited her nearly a month later in October.

I was on depo for 3 yrs, and luckily got AF the first month off depo. Personally, I believe if you are having regular periods, you need to buy some ovulation predictor tests, and see if your even ovulating. They're pretty expensive but you get alot of them, just test each day....etc. what the directions say on the box. That way you'll know if it's because your not ovulating... or whatnot.

I didn't have a period or any bleeding at all after my surgery, but since I am on depo provera, I don't typically get them anyway. I wouldn't worry too much, it may take a bit for your body to readjust and the ovaries to start working again. Have you had a follow up yet? I am little confused by your question. The depo provera shot is given once every three months not for three months at some unspecified interval. If you mean that you received the depo shot 4 months ago, and hence, the last month, you did not get a repeat depo shot, then the answer to your question is, yes, you can get pregnant. I missed a dose of Depo provera by 7 days now. I know that I am not pregnant due to no intercourse. My question is do I still have to wait until I get a cycle? Hello, Irregular bleeding like you describe is a common side effect of Depo Provera. Your girlfriend should have been counseled about this possibility when initiated on the medication. Quick question... which Depo are you on? There are two kinds, that I'm aware of: Depo Provera or Depo Lupron. I had tried the Provera when I was about 16 for about a year. I had to stop because I could not handle the side effects any longer. I did spot for about 3 months. It usually takes a few months for your system to get used to it. The Lupron stops your period completely and basically puts your body into menopause, which is the one I am currently on.

Hi! The Depo Provera shot is birth control. IF you get your shot on time and never miss your appointments, it is about 99% effective. Be sure to take a calcium supplement daily--some of the gummy ones are great! It is pretty common for her bleeding to be irregular when a woman is on Depo Provera. Usually it stops altogether after awhile. This is not a bad thing. Good luck!

i have tried everything, from lupron, to laparoscopies, to yaz, to smoking marijuana - currently i am on Depo Provera and have been for the past year and a half. I am noticing a lot of side affects from this as time goes on, and unfortunately for me this has been the only thing that even remotely helps, and i still have a lot of pain.
