I am identical to this! I'm 20, Have been on the depo for about 5 years now. Started getting really bad headaches about 3 years ago, bad anxiety 2 years ago and now I have the night sweats etc. I'Ve never really linked it to the depo until now but the benefits of being on it were so strong I am reluctant to come off it!

If you are taking depo-provera i would seriously recommend you stop using this asap. I had the same symptoms as yourself and was diagnosed with depression, i wasn't depressed it was the side effects of the depo -provera. Also if you do ever plan on having kids it could take up to years after coming off of this pill for your body to regulate. If you mean that you received the depo shot 4 months ago, and hence, the last month, you did not get a repeat depo shot, then the answer to your question is, yes, you can get pregnant. The whole point of the provera is to kick start a period.. Its doesn't have "withdraw bleeding. I was told that if I hadn't gotten a normal period in 2 weeks to go back as something could be wrong. But luckily.. My period started that night without the meds .

Quick question... which Depo are you on? There are two kinds, that I'm aware of: Depo Provera or Depo Lupron. I had tried the Provera when I was about 16 for about a year. I had to stop because I could not handle the side effects any longer. I did spot for about 3 months. It usually takes a few months for your system to get used to it. The Lupron stops your period completely and basically puts your body into menopause, which is the one I am currently on.
