Common Questions and Answers about Depo provera how long does it take to work

depo is suppose to take a while to come out of your system well <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> doesn't always <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> that <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span>. They can never really explain <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> you. Everyone is differnt but if there was every a law suit against depo I would sign on the dotted line in a heartbeat. I also have a friend who had way more complications then me on depo so really look into really, really well. Good luck choosing the correct contiseptive for you.
In July I had the same bleeding but the spotting didn't last as long and would only happen after intercourse. I am not going <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> the shot and I was wondering <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> would <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> for me to be able to concieve after only one shot. it is only the second day after my scheduled shot but it seems like by body is starting to feel funny. I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me or am I really feeling an early early sign of pregnancy!! Any suggestions???
This too has consumed my life, and I see no end <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> all since <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> took so <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> diagnose but the damage was done <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> my bladder, ureters and bowels. So I am always in pain with those areas. it ***** not going to lie but I was glad I researched and found the best surgeon for my first surgery as I have read and met women with horror stories of having 24+ surgeries because of the lack of skill of surgeons. its a nightmare and the awareness has to be out there in order for things to change.
) BUT, it has vastly altered many aspects of my health and if you were a friend or relative, I would STRONGLY suggest that you NOT <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> the chance that <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>does</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> you what <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> has done <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> me and <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> so many other women, many of whom have experienced side effects after the very first shot.
I am in a group where all the women are trying to conceive after the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>depo</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>provera</span>. Many have been trying <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> conceive for years, and no luck. And <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> seems like those who do conceive have miscarriages soon after. its like 80% of the women who get pg have a miscarriage. Is this linked to the depo? Age? Im 22 and am trying to conceive #2. (my son is 6 now) I am so scared that it might happen to me.
hi, I have just started provera to induce my period.
For us it took provera, clomid, misscarriage, hsg test, vitamins, and then toNS of prayer for <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>work</span> for us. Seriously, you don't know <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> many people prayed for this! Hope it works out for you hun! Keep trying and start looking upwards for answers.
I believe that the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>depo</span> has had an affect on my thyroid and I want <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> stop taking <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> as I feel <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> may have a "reverse affect" - but after reading all your notes - I"m not sure what to think. Muscle pain, joint inflamation etc. was diagnosed by one doctor as Fibromyalgia - which in context of my family history could be true - but the massive weight gain must have it's own answer.
this is my 1 time getting <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>depo</span> and my period has ben on for all most a 10 days...i have look up <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> pose <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> be on but no help...also i got my shot when i was on my period dose that have any thing to do with it....
While the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>depo</span> may not be a direct cause, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> could have some bearing on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span>. You need <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> ask your doctor for some simple blood work to test thyroid function. The tests you need are Free T4, Free T3 and TSH. Don't just settle for the TSH that most doctors want to order and be done with it. TSH is a pituitary hormone and does not provide the full picture. FT3 and FT4 are actual thyroid hormones, so they will tell you what the thyroid is actually producing.
My doctor recomended the Pill first but after not being able to remember to <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> due <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> my active schedule he told me about <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>depo</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>provera</span>. I started <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> and immediately loved <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> because i had no period at all after 3 months. Very rarely over the last 7 years i would spot but never enough to do anything about it and just figured it due to stress. it high school i was very active, track, basketball, volleyball anything.
it's brownish/red and a pretty decent flow. We'll see <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> lasts. If <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> seems <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> be a problem I'll comment again, otherwise <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> usually just lasts about 3-5 days. Overall, I have yet to want to go off the shot and I'm pretty happy with it.
After stoppage of depo-provera one can become pregnant as soon as three <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> four months after the last shot. <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> varies women <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> women. <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> may <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> some women up <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> a year or two to conceive once they stop using does not depend on how long you have been using depovera. If you do not get your periods according to the stipulated time it will be best to consult a gynecologist. Usually doctors want to make sure you aren't pregnant before taking it as it has been associated with birth defects, but on the other hand, I've read that the used <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> prescribe <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>provera</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> women a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> time ago <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> try <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> reduce chances of miscarriage, but later found out it wasn't nec. good for pregnancy afterall. IF you are charting, YOu won't really be able to tell if you're pregnant now unless you take a pg. test.

I also asked him again about the gas and bloating. He confirmed that <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>does</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> 3 months for <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> go away. As I read various forums it doesnā€™t seem like I am alone ā€“ any input on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> loose this weight and <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> might <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span>? No AF!!! <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>how</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>long</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>does</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>it</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>take</span> once you get your IUI done for you <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>to</span> know if you are prego?
