depo provera and headaches

I have a history of anxiety and depression. Is depo-provera a good choice or a bad choice for birth control? Thank you!

The only minor side effects I did have was mild cramping after the shot, and headaches. Although once I got off depo that was different. My hair started to fall out, I gained weight, headaches were worse and so on. This pregnancy happened 2 months after being off birth control completely, and while hubby had a vesectomy. So the only real birth control i think is no sex.....which is damn near impossibale lol.

I am 21 years old and have been on the shot (DEPO) since I was 18. I recently started having hot flashes and I wake up at night sweat profusely. Once I sit outside for a couple minutes I am fine. Also I have noticed since I have been on the shot I am very anxious. I would like someones opinion if their is a way to counteract these side effects or if I should just switch? I just really like the depo because so is very reliable for my-self. Please I would love some opinions.

has taken me off the Depo Shots and I was put on Birth Control Pills. The blood was very dark red and blood clots. I was given an altrsound was told nothing was wrong. Is this normal with the Depo Provera?

I was on the depo Provera for 5 yrs and I stopped about 4 yrs. ago and the effects of comming off the shot are you'll slowly get your period back, Headaches, and weight gain or decease. If you haven't started to spot and your nauseous, maybe you are pregnant. You may want to call your doctor and make an appointment. Keep on giving me any updates and good luck.

well i thought ok this is my mind messing with me but now i have been freaking out i am supposed to get my period in a week but just got the depo provera 2 days ago now i have been eating everything in sight, headaches, breast tenderness like never before but my main concern is me peeing every 30 min and i have wat seems a bulge i dont know if its the depo or if its a pregnancy and im wondering if i should go get a ultrasound to ease my mind.

Hello, I have been given my FIRST depo-provera shot earlier this month, and it was not within my cycle - it was the 11th day afterwards. I had unprotected sex the following day, and am very worried I may be pregnant. Since I did not wait the seven days. i have tried everything, from lupron, to laparoscopies, to yaz, to smoking marijuana - currently i am on Depo Provera and have been for the past year and a half. I've been having Migraines everyday now and I don't know what causes the migraines? I drink like 1 -2 cups of coffee a day and I'm on the depo provera shot and recently had a baby 3 months ago. Hi, I am not sure of what type of antibiotic might affect other contraceptives like the pill, but I am pretty sure that she will be fine on the shot. I myself had the depo-provera shot about 10 years ago. I only had one shot and I didn't have a period until a whole year later. It actually took me over another year after my period returned before, I finally became pregnant. The depo-provera shot is extremely effective.

s no way to tell for sure, but more and more proof is coming out that autism is NOT linked to vaccines, and because depo provera is an active hormone shot and not a vaccine, I highly doubt that it is the cause. Are your other children girls by any chance? Very often a family that has an autistic child only has 1 (almost always a boy), and the rest of the children are "normal". They are thinking more and more that it's a genetic mutation.

I just had a baby two months ago got a depo shot the day i left the hospital then i had sex two weeks after that can i still be pregnant because i'm still very fertile? The levels of DMPA (the synthetic hormone in Depo-Provera) gradually increase over a three week period, at which time they reach their peak levels. After three weeks the DMPA levels begin to decrease exponentially.

I'm am 29 years old...and a few days after taking the depo provera shot I started experiencing extreme joint pain...so bad I can barely get up in morning. Its in my elbows, knees,top of my feet,ankles, wrist.They feel so achy and sore I can pick up any thing..barely even walk. The only thing that has helped with it is taken ibuprofen!! But the soreness is still there! The doctors claim the depo shot shouldnt b causing this...

I'm 16, I have only took took shots of depo provera but didn't go on my 3rd shot which was April 29, 2014 because I have had continuous bleeding ever since I first started the depo which was November 2013. It's been over 6month's of non-stop bleeding and it still has not stopped even through I am no longer on the Shots. My periods would be kind of heavy then light then turn brown, then start all over in that order but it has never gone off !!
