depo provera and cancer

has taken me off the Depo Shots and I was put on Birth Control Pills. The blood was very dark red and blood clots. I was given an altrsound was told nothing was wrong. Is this normal with the Depo Provera?

I have a history of anxiety and depression. Is depo-provera a good choice or a bad choice for birth control? Thank you!

Hi. If the vaginal bleeding is really heavy, I think you should consider consulting with another gynecologist sooner, rather than waiting until April 1. I'm just concerned that your condition might worsen while you're waiting for your doctor to return. Are you still taking depo-provera? If you're not, I suspect that an abrupt withdrawal of that hormone could have precipitated the vaginal bleeding. But this is just my theory.

Hi, I am not sure of what type of antibiotic might affect other contraceptives like the pill, but I am pretty sure that she will be fine on the shot. I myself had the depo-provera shot about 10 years ago. I only had one shot and I didn't have a period until a whole year later. It actually took me over another year after my period returned before, I finally became pregnant. The depo-provera shot is extremely effective.

s no way to tell for sure, but more and more proof is coming out that autism is NOT linked to vaccines, and because depo provera is an active hormone shot and not a vaccine, I highly doubt that it is the cause. Are your other children girls by any chance? Very often a family that has an autistic child only has 1 (almost always a boy), and the rest of the children are "normal". They are thinking more and more that it's a genetic mutation.

On 6th February it was 125 U/ml. I took Injection Depo provera on January according to my gynaecologist advise. Is it safe to take another Depo Provera injection Or is there any other management for this condition. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

not sure about the breast feeding part but a lot of women on this site might agree with me to stay clear of depo-provera. I was on this bc for 2 and a half years and have been ttc for the same length of time with no joy. I was on depo provera and gained 40 pounds in 6 months... my dr. told me that the hormones that are in it mess with your body bad... If i were you i would get off it and try a differnt means of birth control... It has also been proven to increasse your chance of Osteoporosis! Hello, I was just wondering if anyone out there knows anything about the long term use of Depo-Provera Contraceptive. I have been using it for a few years now, and have no plans of stopping using it anytime soon, as I am in college and will be for quite some time to come. I know that I am putting myself at risk for Osteoporosis by using it for a long time. But what I don't know is considering the fact that since being on Depo, I have had pretty much no menstrual cycle for a very long time.

So I've been on depo for 9.months now and got my renewal shot and antibiotics for 10 days on the same day, how long should I wait before having unprotected sex? How will they effect eachother????

Hello, I'm 35 years old and I've been having some issues and could really use your help. This last month, I've been having some serious stomach issues. I've been bloated, horrible indigestion, acid reflux, nausea, back and chest pain. I went to the ER 1/29/16, after a CT scan and Ultrasound, the DR found a cyst on my right ovary, a pedunculated fibroid outside my uterus(which is retroverted). I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3years ago, but never experienced these issues.

Quick question... which Depo are you on? There are two kinds, that I'm aware of: Depo Provera or Depo Lupron. I had tried the Provera when I was about 16 for about a year. I had to stop because I could not handle the side effects any longer. I did spot for about 3 months. It usually takes a few months for your system to get used to it. The Lupron stops your period completely and basically puts your body into menopause, which is the one I am currently on.

I have been off Depo-Provera for 11 months now and still haven't conceived. Every month i have the same symptoms you are describing and every month i have the same negative result. I was also told afetr i came off the injection it could take me anything from a year to 2 years to conceive.
