t start till June I can go to class next quarter Yahoo. Even if USC changes my mind about who does it I can still push it off till summer. I can't stay home I just can't.
My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
Finally, I got dental insurance and went to the dentist. Six months after my wisdom teeth were pulled, the fever went away. That was a year ago. All my dental work is done and my mouth should be in good shape. Now the lymph nodes are swelling again, this time not only in my neck. I also keep getting painful sores in my mouth that don't look like canker or cold sores. They are very red, and show up on throat, tonsils, palate (hard and soft). No fever, no elevated blood count.
hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
s been hard at times w/o good dental insurance. What I do is go over to the dental school and I can get my teeth cleaned by the students there. It takes 5 times longer, but a cleaning is like $15.00 and I got 4 bitewing X-rays for an additional $5.00. After the students get done, their work is checked by an instructor and then, a dentist walks over and checks it, too. So, you have 3 people looking in your mouth and you're there for hours. Not pleasant, but you do what you have to.
I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!!

I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
I walked to the library without stopping and back (with a bathroom break and grabbed a couple of books inbetween) with the walker. I wasn't able to do it without stopping a lot 2 weeks ago. Yahoo. Oh and I started PT exercises on Thursday. It went well. I'm still working on getting off the walker.
Not many dentists or dental Unversities will blame dental problems on a autoimmune diseases because Health Insurance would have to pay for bridges, dental inplants, crowns, root cannals, periodontal cleanings and so on. The Dental companies, such as, 3M and Nobel Biocare are far more shady and greedier than the pharmaceutical companies. If you don't believe me, call Nobel Biocare and ask them if they have a patient assistant program, the operator will practically hang up on you !
You can always contact your local dental society for a dentist or clinic that may provide free or more affordable dental care. You can also go to the local dental school.
It sounds like it may be an abscess but its a little unusual that it would start now if they gave you antibiotics at the ER. Did they prescribe some medication for you to take afterwards?
When did you have the teeth pulled and then the visit to the ER? It sounds like it all happened quite recently.
Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.
I am so far a healthy 43 year old/m in pa. I am trying to decide which health insurance plan will be good for my situation and I am looking for some opinions here. This Month my group plan ends and I can take cobra but there is no financial benefit to taking my same PPO plan which gives me to price break for being unemployed.
So I am trying to look at this at a meaningful way. Since my PPO was $475/m plue $29 dental I just cant be paying that on my own now.
Insurance weirdly denied my request for a second opinion ns at UCLA but instead approved a ns at USC. Let's just say they are rivals. When I called because I thought it was requesting nl instead of ns they told me that the reason for the USC doctor was because no UCLA doctor would come to bakersfield. Yahoo I get to see my ns where I live. I'm guessing it happened because of the hospital is in Bakersfield that the insurance covers.

Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
You may want to contact your local dental society or the local dental school to get it checked out and find some lower cost dental treatment options. Canker sores/cold sores don't worry me in regards to increased cancer risk at this point. I would worry more about your immune system if you had frequent cold sores such as once a month or multiple ones at a time.
