5684059 tn?1374435322 It is worth it. But I would make sure that you don't have an anterior placenta before you get it done (if you can).
229857 tn?1319029907 Do any of you have insurance for your pets? If so is it worth it and what is a good company? Thanks.!
Avatar n tn Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!! Check it out at http://www.dentaldiscountplans.org everyone is aproved! no exclusions! start right away!
Avatar n tn I know that Valtrex is expensive and I was wondering if any of you take it, and if so how much difference does it make? I will go on it if it makes a world of differences, but if not, probably will just wait till i have my own insurance in a few years.
Avatar f tn I'm so glad you brought this up, Nancy and I appreciate your input Annie since I've struggled with getting pet ins, but after examining several policies, thought the same thing - it's a rip off. I would love to hear from anyone who has a positive experience to share where the insurance ended up worth their while...or worth their money. I would suppose if you've got a lot of money to spare, the gamble is worth it, but we don't, so...
Avatar f tn i have blueshield it is horrible it doesnt cover anything.i actually had to get medicaid on top of that because blueshield doesnt cover anything until you actually pay $2000 worth of bills.
Avatar n tn I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
Avatar m tn Hello, Gum bleeding can have different reasons. Are you taking any new medication ? Are you taking Aspirin ? Are you flossing daily ? Are you going to your cleanings every 6 month ? I had bleeding gums too. My Periodontist said I have some mild gum disease. I had to get a deep cleaning and some antibiotics on some areas. And I no bleeding since. If you have dental insurance I would go to the dentist or periodontist.
Avatar n tn Hi, Yes the baby can go on his insurance. you dont have to be married. When are you due?
358699 tn?1297646442 Since I haven't had dental insurance in many years, I've neglected my dental health. I do brush my teeth everyday, floss, and use mouthwash. Last year I had a back molar removed because I cracked it and could not afford a crown. My middle teeth on the bottom are beginning to shift. I had braces as a teenager and my teeth were very straight. My gums bleed on the bottom every time I brush. I know this is a sign a periodontal disease or maybe gingivitis?
Avatar f tn so then i heard that zofran is way better so i asked my doctor for it so he prescribe it but then i found out my insurance does not cover it and i would have to pay 100$for 30 pills. but people tell me normally moring sickness goes alway at around 14 weeks so i don't know if i should buy it would you guys buy it or just wait.
322464 tn?1194364154 This a program that donates dental work to those who do not have dental insurance or state funded insurance. I think there is some type of income standards, but it is worth a try. What you would have to do is fill out all paperwork to see if you meet the qualifications for the program. They would then set you up for a exmination with one of the local participating dentist. The dentist then lays out all work needed and the time frame. Good Luck.
Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
1027870 tn?1252056250 yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.
Avatar n tn Three days ago while eating pound cake of all things, my crowns/bridge fell out. I no longer have dental insurance, live in a different state than before, am in severe pain and my jaw is swelling. Dont know what to do. feels like a nerve is exposed. The ground down teeth are both black in color. Is that the way they were prepared before crowning?
Avatar n tn Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment. My questions: Is there any individualized plans with not very high premium and good coverage in NY?
Avatar f tn I had one done a couple weeks ago and it was very worth it!! I loved it, it was soo much fun and at the place we did it was awesome! Insurance never covers the 3d/4d ultrasound because theyre elective and for fun only so its ut of pocket for everyone. But it was worth the drive, for us it took about 45 minutes to get there but we didnt mind at all.
Avatar n tn Dental school charges much less than private dental offices do.
Avatar f tn m only questioning it because it would be easier financially if it was something PCP could take care of because then my insurance would pay for it, and not because I think it is something Dentists shouldn't handle. I've been researching and found a couple Dental places that have someone who is trained for TMJ/D. Now it's just a matter of waiting until I finally get SS disability coming in to be able to afford it. Thanks for your reply.
Avatar f tn okay so I'm 22 weeks 5 days and I haven't really been happy with my doctor. Basically because I ask her questions and she doesn't really answer them/makes me feel uncomfortable. I told her it hurts to have sex and she's basically just like "don't have it if it doesn't feel good" I'm like uhh?? I just wanna make sure nothing's wrong... It's hurt since before I was pregnant.
Avatar n tn calls that they no longer will call in anything after hours or on the weekends resulting in patients having to go to urgent care or emergency rooms resulting in more medical bills and insurance claims in turn resulting in higher insurance premiums it is all a vicous cycle that can't seem to be stopped. dr's want to help and that is what they are here for but they don't want to fuel our addictions (hope this made sense i am up past my bedtime....
763612 tn?1385231750 RE: How on earth do you decide which is healthier to repair for $$$ or pull #15 moler a tooth that has had a root canal and now the crown that has been on it is cracked? I am 59 years old and have lost # 1 and # 16 Wisdom teeth when I was in my late teens or early 20's. And I have lost two failing root canals # 3 several years ago and # 2 recently. I had just capped # 2 eight months before the #2 root canal tooth failed and I had to have $1,300 worth of work pulled for $ 189.00.
Avatar f tn Ok mommys that have medicaid . Will I get denied if I already have dental insurance but not health insurance?
1605619 tn?1301631851 I am scheduled for a retreatment of a root canal next month. I have been going over the fees for this retreatment and upcoming crown...yikes! I wonder if it's even worth it! Is there a point when you just say enough is enough and have the tooth pulled???
Avatar m tn Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.
Avatar m tn t decide if I should go with Aetna High deductable plan 3000 or something like a Plan 100 2500 deductable from United HealthOne as long as I can get a HSA with either. It seems like UHO has a dental plan that is better at twice the price but I not sure if I will be ahead. What are something other things I should try to calculate in this? Am I doing this the right way or anyone have some suggestions. Please. Thanks!
152660 tn?1291755571 Does anyone have pet insurance or have any experience with it? I know my kitties are old enough it wouldn't be worth it but I have a troublemaking puppy (Skeeter) who should have it- the vet actually told me to get it for her. Especially if Taz gets ahold of her. He HATES her. Oliver wasn't so bad when she was smaller than him but really doesn't care for her now- she likes to bark at him. Lucy couldn't care less- unless she lunges at her.
