I see a surgeon at the chiari institute in new york. I have gone to every local doctor but because new york did my most recent surgery no one will even consult with me. My insurance said it is out of state therefore I will be responsible for bills or back bills if they do cover part. The last few trials, by the time I found the study centers and contacted them, all the spots were filled. I'm not giving up, but it sure is frustrating. The worst part is not being in the States now, not having a hep MD there, or any insurance. Flying blind, so to speak.

I'm not sure how things are in Chicago but in New York there were places that said "free ultrasound" then when you go they ask for insurance card or cash so I had to go to the ER & get one done because at the time I didn't have a doctor or insurance so that's how I got my first ultrasound done for free.
