My husband has been diagnosed with atypical facial pain which has been attributed to multiple
dental procedures. He pain is severe, and nerve blocks have had only very short term success, and radiofrequency ablation significantly increased his pain. A neurosurgeon has informed him that he is not a surgical candidate, but I have read that some techniques such as motor cotex stimulation and (CT)-guided percutaneous trigeminal tractotomy-nucleotomy (TR-NC) may still be options. Do you agree?
