Due to the new laws of insurance, I have been told that once I turn 21, my medi-cal will expire. Is this true ? Or does this no apply since my daughter will be under my case? I'm in california.

hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..

yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.

If you live in Illinois you should get the state mandated coverage, even if your insurance is based out of Iowa. The laws pertain to your state and where you live. However, here's what your problem with your insurance could be....if for some reason your insurance is "SELF FUNDED"....they make up their own rules and don't have to follow state mandated laws. I believe BCBS has many employer groups that are self funded.

I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.

ve been on subxone for 3 years its very expensive and i do not have insurance. For 2 years i paid a doctor 200$ a month plus another 100$ for the script. Me and my boyfriend are on it so that's a grand total of 600$ a month. I could not afford it no more but it works and was keeping up clean so what i did to fix this problem was drop my self from the program and now my boyfriend just goes and we share his script i know its bad but i don't want to go back to using again.

Assuming your dentist is a legal practice and following the laws there should be no issues. They likely have an autoclave to sterilize their dental equipment. Personally I’ve never seen plastic wrap at my dentists office. If you are in a less developed country I am not familiar with their practices for blood borne illnesses but I expect any medical professional would be following best practices available to them.

This Month my group plan ends and I can take cobra but there is no financial benefit to taking my same PPO plan which gives me to price break for being unemployed. Hello I live in Virginia, my spouse is on pain management. Due to an insurance snafu 5 years ago, one day our ins said they would not pay for his medication. The cost was $1,000, I could not pay for it. I asked him to please get a pain medicine that we could pay for in case the insurance would not pay.
