Avatar f tn The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995" has come into force on February 7, 1996. Avatar f tn What are the odds of those of us that are suffering from from tooth decay and paying outrageously for doctors appointments, prescriptions, and now dentists and dental bills, what do we need or have to do to begin a class action lawsuit? Four members of my family have been on subutex for about 6 years some for general pain and some for addiction and we all have the same issues with decaying teeth and such. Our doctor has no means of tapering us off but we all have started ourselves.
Avatar f tn I figured I would keep that medicine and take only if it flared back up while I was waiting for dental insurance to kick in at some point. Well, still looking for a job and now it's starting back up. I'm so afraid to take it because of the fear of how long it will be before I find a job. Even if I find a job I will try to at least apply for Care Credit to help pay for the treatments even if I don't necessarily have dental insurance to cover it yet at that point.
Avatar f tn I'm only 22. No insurance and no job. I live in a rural area with no means of transportation. I have had weird teeth ever since I was about 8 and would love to get my teeth worked on. I need cleaning; fillings in at least 4 teeth; 2 wisdom teeth pulled (one grew in with a cavity); missing a tooth so need a fake one; and braces to push back teeth, pull together teeth, and spread some apart. I think one tooth has even started spotting brown towards the back.
Avatar n tn drank non-diet soda by the gallon, and rarely i am assuming brushed his teeth. Now he is jobless and broke, no health or dental insurance and too old to put on our insurance policies....Any suggestions of what to do? We certainly cannot afford the cost it will take to correct the problem. I am just sick over this! Any help appreciated!!!
Avatar n tn As a result the a new bridge of 4 teeth was needed. I had fairly good insurance, but a $7.00 an hour job and no savings. Our share was going to be $1000.00, and the dentist would accept payments of $100.00 a month for a year to pay for it. With help I made all the payments. At Christmas time 2008 the bridge came off. The 2 teeth supporting it appeared discolored as with decay.
358699 tn?1297646442 Since I haven't had dental insurance in many years, I've neglected my dental health. I do brush my teeth everyday, floss, and use mouthwash. Last year I had a back molar removed because I cracked it and could not afford a crown. My middle teeth on the bottom are beginning to shift. I had braces as a teenager and my teeth were very straight. My gums bleed on the bottom every time I brush. I know this is a sign a periodontal disease or maybe gingivitis?
620877 tn?1282764097 From personal experience at my job, my company disability insurance would not cover me for any "pre-existing conditions" until I had worked 12 full months plus on day if the disabillty claim. The define pre-exisitng as any condiotn that you have sought treatment for, Have had medical testing for, have consulted a physician or other health care provider regarding this conditon, took meidcation for this condtion even if it was not diagosised at that time.
Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
Avatar f tn I work as a Cna I'm really going to try to work until my due date in June. but my question is I recently got contacted by another job and had an interview with them today. I didn't tell him that I was pregnant right then and there I felt that that would disqualify me from the job. was it wrong of me not to say anything.
1027870 tn?1252056250 yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.
Avatar f tn Do you have to pay back for medicaid or wic? Do you know if affects future job opportunities? Do you know if my bd has to be insured in order for my baby to be covered? Thank you so much for replying to my post!!
Avatar n tn They said not to worry--not the dentist but an assistant. Then, I lost my dental insurance due to a bad accident and not being able to work. I kept good dental hygiene habits and rinsing with a commercial rinse that has H2O2 in it. But, my cheek seemed to slightly thicken, my discomfort spread to my jaw and a mild headache only on that side, with some mild swollen neck glands.
Avatar n tn its getting more and more difficult to find free or low cost dental care. even dental schools have raised their rates considerably. if you are unable to work due to disability you can file for government aid. if not you can find a local dentist who will accept payment plans. when i found out i needed a root canal i found a second job as a grocery checker until i payed it off. the emergency room will not fix your teeth.
Avatar n tn s a premolar on my left side) that had extensive decay underneath it. She recommended that I get a dental crown for it since the decay went so deep. I recall that they had to fill the amalgam-depositing device three times before they got the entire thing filled up. That's probably bad news... I also have an incisor (the right one next to the two front teeth) that she also recommended getting a crown for, since it had 3 composite fillings in it.
435139 tn?1255460391 I know there were some posts about this before, but since I am established in my career, I didn't read them. My dh is going to school for his BA in Programming and working in retail...he'd like to work from home if possible but not sure of the opportunities...If anyone knows a REAL work from home opportunity, can you share? Thanks!
Avatar n tn I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!! Check it out at http://www.
Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
Avatar n tn I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
230262 tn?1316645934 Two of my front teeth just BROKE OFF today now!! I am absolutely horrified, it looks TERRIBLE as you might imagine and I have NO insurance at all. How am I gonna get this fixed?? These proofreading jobs are slowwww as all get out and certainly dont pay enough anyhow to finance the dental work I need (collectively I need 10 Grand to get all my teeth fixed- no BS that is the estimate I have printed out here and thats with their "discount special offer"!!!
Avatar n tn I am in my late twenties, missed regular dental cleaning (lost insurance) for almost 1.5 years, got my teeth cleaned yesterday and they measured mostly 4mm pockets along all of my molars, some 2/3's up front. I also have 2 k9's on the bottom jaw than have travelled way forward and are about 80% and 50% enclosed by other teeth so, certified by my dentist, impossible to clean effectively at home.
Avatar f tn Oops wasn't done posting. Lol I'm a dental assistant but my boss doesn't offer insurance since she's only open part time. I guess I should look into that with my insurance then.
4484425 tn?1384228334 I'm going to have to go back to work. I was in process of opening my own business, but going to have to put that on hold for awhile. Between us and the fencepost, my husband as great of a guy as he is feels obligated to help his parents build a house which means our family has no insurance while he's not working a real job full time. He has a real job, but it's only PT so he can build the house.
Avatar f tn m enrolled in SafeGuard-Metlife Dental Insurance. Any suggestions in terms of best treatement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all your support offered!
