Common Questions and Answers about Dental and vision insurance ky

insurance

Avatar f tn I have healrh, dental and vision insurance through work but I was still approved for Medicaid. It goes by income, not current coverage so that's expecially helpful if you're like me and are having a really hard time working because of fatigue and such. They will access or request your pay stubs to go off of what you are really making in a pay period.
Avatar f tn In KY it covers the basics at the dentist & also for vision. Checkups, cleanings, filings, tooth removal. And for vision you can get glasses if needed. Check your state, but if it's Medicaid it should.
Avatar n tn it covers everything my baby, me, dental and vision..and all i had to do was send in 2 months worth of pay stubs and fill out a paper..good luck to all of you!
Avatar f tn I think I found an answer to my question on the COBRA web site: "Pre-existing conditionsSome health insurance companies cut their costs by invoking something called a "pre-existing condition" clause. The notion of a pre-existing condition makes sense when you're talking about car insurance: your windshield was cracked before you bought your coverage, so you can't expect the insurance company to replace it once your policy is in force.
Avatar f tn My husband doesn't have a family doctor.MRI's show his back is shot. Worked to hard in younger years. I need a clinic in KY. Has KY insurance. Need a clinic that don't need a referral. Suggestions?
Avatar f tn My teeth and gums are on fire! There's no swelling, just throbing aches. I don't have dental insurance. Besides using Orajel, what are natural ways to relieve tooth and gum pains that won't hurt my baby?
Avatar n tn Thanks for your reply and concern. I believe the insurance is Assurant Dental. I am self-employed and this is what the insurance agent that works for the union that I am a member of recommended. Any comments on this?
Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
Avatar f tn s actually a luxury to have dental and medical needs met. Insurance is so expensive and not many can afford it and medicaid is so limited. What's a person to do??? It is cruel to keep proper treatment from patients who can't afford it.
Avatar f tn Oh it is and it comes with health insurance complete dental, medical, vision, 401k, vacation days! Major plus with the vacation days cuz i am due in 38 days! It feels real good to know that living pay check to pay check and stretching that to max is over!
Avatar f tn Hi all. Im cramping so bad right now. I have endometrosis and had surgery three weeks ago. I lost my job so I no longer have insurance until the first of Feb. I called my doctor this morning and wants me to come in but I can't because no insurance. I took two Lortab 7.5s at 8am and then just now at 10:30am started cramping so bad I couldn't take it so I had to take another two. I hate having to take pain medicine but its the only thing that helps but even then it only lasts 2.
Avatar n tn care for your teeth/gums is usually considered dental care and will be covered by you detnal insurance only, regardless of other systemic conditions one may have. You are right when you say gingivitis and diabetes are related, but just because you have diabetes does not mean your gingivitis stems from it. most adults have gingivitis, which is a mild inflammation of the gum tissue. It should be able to be addressed within the parameters of your $1000 maximum. treatment is not that involved.
Avatar m tn I recently broke a molar in my lower right quadrant, my dentist is recommending a root canal and a crown. My insurance company called me today to say it will not be approved because I'm over 21 yrs. I'm 56 year old female with no other dental issues. Doctors, what gives with this company? Is this normal and what can I do about it? Anyone else who have been through this issue and can offer some insight, I would appreciate your comments.
Avatar f tn There is so much more going on with my vision and head pressure and so much more I could never list it all. I also have been having weird pains and feelings in my head muscle twitches almost nonstop and so much more. If anyone has experienced anything like this please help me. I have lost all faith in the medical field just keep getting put off months at a time. I Pray more than anything for healing. Please anyone that can help please.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to Medhelp. My mom and all her siblings were born and raised in Berea, Ky. I 'm sure you know where that is, if fact its probably pretty close to where you are. Can you count on your fiancee and family to help you get the help you need. It sounds to me like your meds could be interacting with each other. Do you have one Dr who is prescribing all your meds? This could be affecting you in a big way. No drugs or alcohol, right?
Avatar f tn You can go to a local dental school or contact your local dental society for a free clinic possibly. I think for California, medicaid doesn't cover dental anymore for adults so it may vary from state to state. It sounds like you have an abscess. Go to your primary care doctor and get a prescription for the infection to at least keep it under control while you find a dentist.
1099361 tn?1258662257 Do you live in a city that has dental teaching facilities.Even the private dental assistant and technician courses can clean your teeth for much less than normal and if there is a university that has a dental college, you can go there cheaper.I suppose all the opiates masked any pain, but ibuprofen is still the best pain reliever for dental pain.
Avatar m tn Insurance cost us so much each month, we could not pay for our own dental needs and went years without a dental check-up. My teeth had no issues, so I continued to go about my life and now that I am on Medicare, I can once again afford dental visits. My first visit the dentist told me I have severe bone loss and they want to remove all my teeth and add bone grafts from a cadaver to my jaw line and fit me with dentures. This is totally shocking, as I have no issues with my teeth at all.
Avatar n tn I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!! Check it out at http://www.
Avatar n tn I have been to a couple of dentists last year and they all said all of my teeth need pulled. But right now my dental insurance is not great and i dont have 4,ooo dollars. So my teeth have decayed more and here lately when i first wake up in the mornings i get stomach pains for about an hour or two. So i was wondering if the tooth decay can drain toxins down into my stomach.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know of a Specialist in Kentucky for Chiari Malformation? I've been all over the internet and made many phone calls. I've come up on a couple of doctors in Lexington that have some experience with Chiari and have done decompression surgeries, but No one claims to be a "specialist". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2063887 tn?1337829746 The oral surgeon did a dental implant for me almost two weeks ago. Since then my left arm has been completely tingly, my balance is off and my vision is also off. It's not nearly as bad as my last flare was in October 2011, but I had just had my second Tysabri infusion and was feeling pretty darn good. I'm not sure if I should call my neuro or just try to ride it out. I have acupuncture on Saturday and that usually helps my symptoms a little. I'm just not sure what to do.
Avatar m tn My mom told me I have dental insurance with "delta." And I think you misunderstood. The tooth that underwent the root canal still has its normal color, whilst this greying tooth in the front is painless.
