defrosting breast milk questions

I would breastfeed then pump afterwards, and I always had enough to store in the lil freezer baggies that came with breast pads. I never ran out of milk and defrosting the milk was easy, just let it sit in a bowl of hot water. My baby didn't care that the milk wasn't warm.

Should I store breast milk in the fridge? Is it possible to freeze it or would it dilute the milk when unfrozen? I haven't given birth yet but thing is I plan on having a couple Of drinks and cigarettes every now and then and am unaware of how long the toxins stay in milk.

Breast milk can be stored in the freezer for 6 months. When you take it out put it in a bottle in a pot of hot water, don't put it in the microwave. & no it shouldn't be watered down.

Mine is also 32A lol but still i was able to breastfed my first child til she reached her 1st bithday. I agree that it's not about the size because my aunt has a huge breast but still she wasn't able to breastfeed her baby. Drink tons of water juice and milk.

Never combine the cold milk with warm breast milk, so each time you will have to store one bottle (or the breast milk bags are good too)....once the milk is cold you can combine them. Whoa...off track, sorry! After I put the milk away I would wash the plastic nipple attachments and the other bottle. I used hot soapy water, then just set out to dry. At the end of the day you can steam everything. The tubing I would steam once a week, as no milk ever gets into that part.

I'm trying to choose the best breast pump and milk storage system I can find. I travel extensively for work and I'll even be pumping in the car. I found the Kiinde system; which looks awesome. But, I'm not sure what I will be able to express from each breast at each pumping session. Ideally, I would like to pump directly into the storage bag, freeze it, thaw it, and feed directly from the bag. That is how the Kiinde system is intended to be used.

It sounds like you have a pretty set schedule, but to answer your questions - your breast will get hard in between feeding because they're filling up with milk all over again. & the more she nurses could cause you to produce more milk, but at the same time your body is producing the amount that you can hold at one time. I doubt she is keeping you empty because you nurse her for a long amount of time.

But im still afraid that i will end up like my sister. Is there a way to know if i would be able to produce enough milk? i want my baby on breast milk for as long as possible, because i dont believe formula is the best for a baby. and if im not able to produce milk, is there a way to make it to where i can? And one more question, my sisters baby was born with thrush, but she hasnt treated it, can it get really bad for the baby?

Breast milk is milk. Not like the one we buy From the shop and have on cereal or in our tea. Our bodies produce milk when we are pregnant its the most natural way of feeding our little ones. Of course its up to you weather or not you decide to breastfeed me personally I am going to breastfeed if I can do. Its not as easy as it looks. Our bodies produce enough milk supply for our babies to have a full feed and when they are full they come away from the breast.

Not everyone reacts well to a pump so it could be that you never know. Have you used lanolin cream? That and breast milk and just letting your boobs air out and relax. If the latch is good and there is no lip tie or tongue tie .. all you can do is wait.

Make sure you check with your insurance if you're eligible for a breast pump. But definitely get a breast pump, breast pads, breast milk storage (bags or bottles) and burp cloths for baby (it's way easier to use than a bib. Well if you dont breast feed right away and someone can correct me if I am wrong I but believe your milk will not come in. I breast feed both of my children and yes I am only 22 an my boobs sag . while I was breast feeding them they were real big and perky, When I was breastfeeding I wore a 36 D now I am a 34 C. After my first they didnt look alot different just a little different but after my second they looked alot different.

I am 36 weeks and have already started leaking milk. Is it ok if I use an electric breast pump before I have the baby and freeze the milk so I'm ahead when she comes?

Its just a little easyer to ask all the questions at once then one by one. My baby has milk bumps I know all babys get it, but when will they go away? They help with formula...baby food and cereal... eggs cheese milk peanut butter or beans...fresh fruits and veggies...whole wheat bread...tuna if your breastfeeding...I was on it before but not now Also cereal its good to be on esp.

how long does it take for breast milk to dry? I breastfed for two days at the hospital and took a break for a day due to the soreness I pump after and drops of milk only come. Well, I had intended on BF my baby but I never made enough milk to keep up with her, so I'm onto formula now. No biggie, I know breast milk is best but as long as my baby eats, it's all good to me! My question is tho, what is the best way to buy formula. Anybody know how to get formula for cheaper? I signed up to enfamil nd similac to get coupons, which is helping, but was wondering if there is any other way I'm missing. Formula is expensive! Thanks for the input I appreciate it!

So I asked my lactation counsoler the same thing cause I want to breast feed and he wants to feed too, so she said you milk supply won't start to be established until a week-2 weeks after baby is here but to start pumping after you feed the baby everytime after the 2-3 week and dad will be able too feed the baby too
