Avatar f tn The caffeine in coffee isn't good for you when you are pregnant. You are allowed some caffeine I think 200 mg. I think thats equal to 2 small cups of coffee but I'm not sure. You will have to Google it. I just drink decaffeinated coffee so I can still enjoy the smell and taste without worrying.

1527977 tn?1320542628 Your concern over the safety of decaffeinated coffee probably stems from solvents used in the past. Avatar f tn My husband and I switched from regular coffee to decaffeinated coffee. The regular coffee was giving me when I can only refer to like the feeling of burning in my stomach. Now we buy only decaffeinated coffee and in the morning, we alternate between this kind of coffee or black tea depending on what we feel like drinking. It doesn't sound to me like you're allergic to coffee, it's just that your stomach is becoming more sensitive to the caffeine perhaps. Hope this suggestion helps.
