Just wanted to make a correction. (
wikipedia really needs to update some info, I know my bad for using wiki), Colorado's last execution was in 1997, that's still only 2 in 50 years.
@SM Death row cases are so much more expensive than a life w/o parole cases, which got me to wondering why would Colorado spend the time and money to prosecute a death penalty case when he probably will never be executed anyway, it seems like an awfully expensive dog and pony show to me.
