I can't believe that no one has responded to your question!! I am so sorry for that. Coping with the loss of a loved one is a very personal situation for each child. There are so many factors that weigh into how the child copes. I'm not an expert by any means as to what you might want to do other than to say the child should receive some sort of emotional therapy after the event. Even if they say they don't want or need it.

I think the angels must be very close at that time. Do we understand any of this? Not really. Death can be mysterious, scary, intriguing, all these things. We may not understand it all. We just need to trust that God knows what's best. We all have a purpose in life and I believe that we don't die until we've fulfilled that purpose. And it's only in God's timing. We just need to learn to trust God. When you learn to put your trust in God then you will have peace too.
