My mother and grandmother died recently. There is no real way to handle death. Everyone has to process these things in their own ways. Crying was one of my outlets and it has always made me feel better in some ways. I know that being pregnant we are emotional anyways and death is the most traumatic experience we can go through in our lives. I cant lie to you and say that time makes it Better because I think about them everyday.
my grandmother had a triple bypass on 2/12/08. she was 84. surgery went well...a little more disease once she was "opened up" but surgery went well.she spent 6 days in icu and then was moved to a stepdown bed. after being in new room she ate a few spoons of ice cream and was given a sip of water after which she had to cough. pressure was held on incision site during cough but a few moments later a chest tube site started to bleed.
This sounds like what my grandmother says to me. You really are alot further along in your grief process than you realize. You were just a child when you experienced the death of your grandmother. No one expects a 13 year old to have the wisdom and forethought at that age to know "how" they are suppose to react. Is there really a wrong way or a right way?

I am 28 weeks pregnant and over the past 2 weeks have developed this overwhelming fear of death. My grandmother passed away in July and all of a sudden I am NOW worrying about how she is, where she is, etc. I live abroad and have started to think that I need to move back home to be closer to my sisters and parents because I now realize and think about how fragile life is. From what I've read online so far, these could be symptoms of antenatal depression.

While she was very sick the year preceding her death, i just couldnt understand how this could happen to a 36 year old. The trauma of her death was deep and still effects me almost as much today as it did in 1987. My father was never really a part of my life so i lived with my grandmother after that, although she died 3 years later after becoming a severe alcoholic. Between ages 9-12 i lost my mother, grandmother, went into foster care where i subsequently endured sexual abuse.
I was scared to death of having twins my first time to and my grandmother is a fraternal twin! But they checked everywhere and I'm only carrying one.
