424839 tn?1268186246 From this perspective, we must seek our goal and mission in something that transcends birth and death, something that we can give our whole life to. Only then can we tap the inexhaustible potential of life. In other words, we must advance beyond the mere struggle to stay alive and be prepared to ask ourselves for what purpose we live our lives.. While it is important to win, it's even more important to remain undefeated no matter what happens..
424839 tn?1268186246 In the first place it provides us with the courage to challenge both life and death. It enables us to see death not as some terrifying unknown but as a normal phase of existence that alternates with life in an eternal cycle. Second, it teaches us to treasure the life we are now living and to try to make it as worthwhile as possible.

Avatar f tn There is no real way to handle death. Everyone has to process these things in their own ways. Crying was one of my outlets and it has always made me feel better in some ways. I know that being pregnant we are emotional anyways and death is the most traumatic experience we can go through in our lives. I cant lie to you and say that time makes it Better because I think about them everyday. Try to remember them in the happiest ways possible and put yourself at ease knowing they are at peace.
Avatar m tn I have been seeing quotes from others and writing quotes, and others in detox are requesting more. I know in my darkest hours that I chanted, "There is no problem so big that drugs can't make it worse." What has helped or is helping you? God, Grant me the serenity to Accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.
353148 tn?1293061164 I realy thought (in my own nieve way) he would survive this, because I have suffered enough. I worry everyday about my baby and even my dad was worried about how his death would effect my pregnancy. He made me promise I wouldn't allow it effect the health of my baby and I am determined not to, but at the same time I have learned over the years I realy have no control. He suffered dearly and I watched him sit in pain and suffer. In the end I couldn't be there, it was too much to bare.

198419 tn?1360242356 Well, my dad and two of his brothers have bleeding problems. His sister has almost bled out (fatally) twice. I test positive for it. And my niece could be the poster child for the disease, having all the classic symptoms: post-op hemorrhage for a tonsillectomy age 12, seriously severe menstual periods, ongoing iron-deficiency anemia, easy bruising - you get the picture.
502805 tn?1210274320 I want to know what is involved in the death of cirrhosis. I've heard horror stories about the pain & bleeding to death. I do have cirhossis. I need to know what I am looking at no matter how bad it is.
Avatar f tn t get to say good-bye to my son, either of my parents or brother so I understand how you feel. You are carrying a lot of anger over losing your dad and not getting to say good-bye. When we do this we often take it out on those closest to us because we don't know where else to put it. It's not fair to them, but we really can't help it. What helped me a lot was to write letters to my loved ones in a journal....
