death

Avatar f tn Absolutely agree with Sandman, children don't at the best of times like to ask to go, they would sit and wet themselves first ,ask teacher to be discreet in the reminder .The bullying would have made it worse ,I hope you got that ironed' out with the school .
Avatar f tn Oh wow what awful things to hear..i havent dealt with it myself but its really sad to see racism still exists in this day and age..racist people are patethic and need to pitied if you ask me,screw em they arent worth it hun,we cant control ignorant people...nobody is born a racist its something thats taught and shame on those people...best thing you can do is just focus on your children and raise them to rise above such ignorance..
732810 tn?1232129554 Hi, I am having a very difficult time dealing with family without having modd swings. I am trying to go to meetings, but my schedule and family situations are keeping me from doing so. Funny, I could have gone to bars and just neglected family in the past, but now, I am dealing with family situations and trying to be present. However, my children and my husband are DRIVING ME CRAZY. I keep serenity prayering and it helps for a little bit.
Avatar f tn It is definitely easier to do school work with a newborn than it is with a toddler, so that part is ok, but sometimes it does get really stressful, especially being pp and dealing with the stresses of school. As long as you keep studying in all your free time and stay motivated, it's possible to do well. It is a lot of hard work though.
Avatar f tn for the baby and how much will effect him. I usually a very emotional person when dealing with death and I feel like a horrible person for not allowing myself to feel bad. What do I do???
Avatar f tn one had a bad reaction to the medication before finding a course of treatment, and the other responded well but just now, 10 years later, is dealing with the depression. Both of these guys are married and have kids who were born after their diagnosis- Both had to slow down physical activity, but found other ways to cope- The younger of the two became a research scientist after diagnosis.

Avatar f tn Well, I'm 17 and I lost my uncle April 19th 2008 to suicide (two years last monday). It seems like it just hit me that he's gone forever. I've pretty much cried everyday since last week. I keep hearing the conversation I had with my grand-mother when she first found out what he did. The worst part is, he did it because of my grandfather's death the year before.
1547031 tn?1296831436 At least not ones that pay as well as he is making here and it was his idea that I leave and go finish school, taking the kids with me. (It would take me an additional 3 years if we were to stay here and I try to continue my schooling here). So, what should I do? What can I do? How do you handle this? Because he is my husband and I should not feel so alone and so like a burden to him.
Avatar m tn When anyone asks her why she does it she just says that she wants to. She is doing it at school now as well. She did it last year at school sometimes as well. I try really hard to not get upset. Alot of times I just walk away. I make sure though I tell her all the time that I love her and want to help her but when I ask what it is going to take she will say something like 1 day or something like that. She gets plenty of attention.
Avatar f tn Just like falling in love takes time so does dealing with a passing of a loved one.Just opposite ways of feeling.Love and loss, two parts of life that both hurt. For loving anyone or anything, such as a pet can lead to pain. All feelings lead to pain and despair, eventually. So do we stop feeling, stop loving, stop caring,no we just learn to adjust to our new lives without that loved one that pet, that friend.whom ever.Death ends a life, not a relationship.
Avatar f tn Kk, I know exactly what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I am 60 days out and have had severe panic attacks the past few months. I think the main reason is we are used to dulling our brains and really not dealing with "real life" problems with our brain in it's natural state. We lost a lot of our coping skills by NOT coping the way we should.
Avatar f tn I'm 16 now I've been dealing with it since middle school. And I have a counselor and I'm trying to get a normal therapist now.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 15 year old and I've been dealing with intrusive thoughts for about a year, though mainly homosexual thoughts there have been sacrilegious thoughts also,(I'm a Christian), when I was younger I never liked guys, only girls. These thoughts absolutely disgust me and drive me insane, I had what I think was a anxiety or panic attack a couple of weeks ago, I felt like I was losing my mind, even thoughts of suicide came into my head.
Avatar f tn You said you talked with the school. That can mean many people. You need to talk with the school principal, and the principal needs to talk with (or possibly punish) the other child. If this other child child is in your child's classroom, then you definitely need to talk to the teacher. The principal or teacher needs to talk with your son. Reassure him and let him know to tell them if anything else goes on.
Avatar m tn It has helped with her outbursts and she is much more focused. The issue is, she is waking up in the middle of the night, hungry and unable to go back to sleep. We were giving it to her in the am as prescribed. She was having problems staying awake at school. We have switched to the pm before bed thinking it would help her sleep and be more alert at school. Will this help or is this just an issue with this medication, or the ADHD itself?
1419937 tn?1302557849 Hi Madison. What a small world, I live in your same school district! This is a fabulous school district - LOTS of services - and you can go into to your academic counselor and describe what's going on and get tested, and get accommodations for whatever learning differences you have. You don't say specifically what middle school you go to, but the services are district-wide. Message me privately if you need further information - Best wishes.

Avatar m tn I am also Bipolar, many meds prescribed for this dis-order have marked sedative effect. In my case I was prescribed an anti-psychotic and a mood stablizer I had trouble staying awake. the only person qualified to answer your question is your doctor, Bi-polar is a serious condition, what works for me may be useless to others. See your new Psych as soon as possible as any advice you may receive in on-line forums will be subjective, sorry no easy answers, see your Doc ASAP.
