Avatar f tn one had a bad reaction to the medication before finding a course of treatment, and the other responded well but just now, 10 years later, is dealing with the depression. Both of these guys are married and have kids who were born after their diagnosis- Both had to slow down physical activity, but found other ways to cope- The younger of the two became a research scientist after diagnosis.
Avatar f tn Kk, I know exactly what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I am 60 days out and have had severe panic attacks the past few months. I think the main reason is we are used to dulling our brains and really not dealing with "real life" problems with our brain in it's natural state. We lost a lot of our coping skills by NOT coping the way we should.
732810 tn?1232129554 Hi, I am having a very difficult time dealing with family without having modd swings. I am trying to go to meetings, but my schedule and family situations are keeping me from doing so. Funny, I could have gone to bars and just neglected family in the past, but now, I am dealing with family situations and trying to be present. However, my children and my husband are DRIVING ME CRAZY. I keep serenity prayering and it helps for a little bit.

Avatar n tn We have had alot of problems with the school since the first week of school. His first teacher tried to label him with a diagnosis of ODD 5 days into school. We requested written behavior reports over and over to estabish a pattern and never received one. Over the course of three weeks things esculated to the point she spanked him in front of the class.
Avatar f tn I'm going through the same thing right now! I'm 10 weeks and 5 days and found out I have a SCH at 9 weeks 6 days. It really is the most scairest thing! Like you, I'm afraid to do anything! I previously had a misscarrage so I'm worried. I went and saw a midwife yesterday and she pretty much told me that there isn't much you can do to prevent a misscarrage, if it happens it happens (***** I know!
Avatar f tn t had any comments like that, per say.... But I teach high school in the inner city, and when my students realize that my husband is black, they are SHOCKED because my kid could look like them. It's very surreal that my students seem to connect better with me knowing my family is mixed race. I say... Forget the haters. Your child is going to be absolutely beautiful!!!!
Avatar m tn From my standpoint your high-school footbasll coah should be criminally prosecuted for not pulling you from the game after the first concussion. Consult your mom or dad about seeing at attorney. You may have a lifetime of problems and the school should eat the medical bills as well as paying for suffering. I can understand why you were not pulled from ther game after the first two incidents, but eight concusions are unaceptable for high-school sports.
Avatar m tn One thing i do during school (im still in high school) or just wherever when im getting panicky...I write down the 1st letter of every word im thinking..so to anyone it would look like complete giberish and it only means something to me Also maybe taking up an instrument such as guitar--you can write music or just play whatever you want Another this is excercize...it is proven to help anxiety significantly. Good luck and I hope you learn to cope with this.
Avatar m tn Me to develope moderate LVH(left ventricular hypertrophy) at an early age. I was diagnosed 3 years ago, I am now 25 years old. I've played sports through high school, I still workout and play pick up basketball. I've been on meds since diagnosed with the exception of finding the right meds. Everywhere I look it treats Lvh as a death sentence...one site said 70% of patients font live 5 years after being diagnosed....I'm 6'2 240 but I have a decently muscular body style.

Avatar n tn I went to therapy and learned how to think through anxiety and relaxation techniques to help me when a panic attack hit. I started dealing with things in life that I had previously brushed under the table, like underlying issues with my siblings, the death of my aunt, general anxitey about life. I also was treated with prozac for a period of time.
Avatar m tn When anyone asks her why she does it she just says that she wants to. She is doing it at school now as well. She did it last year at school sometimes as well. I try really hard to not get upset. Alot of times I just walk away. I make sure though I tell her all the time that I love her and want to help her but when I ask what it is going to take she will say something like 1 day or something like that. She gets plenty of attention.
Avatar f tn Just like falling in love takes time so does dealing with a passing of a loved one.Just opposite ways of feeling.Love and loss, two parts of life that both hurt. For loving anyone or anything, such as a pet can lead to pain. All feelings lead to pain and despair, eventually. So do we stop feeling, stop loving, stop caring,no we just learn to adjust to our new lives without that loved one that pet, that friend.whom ever.Death ends a life, not a relationship.
Avatar n tn We are not doctors on these sites. But, I can give you some advice. Almost everyone has been exposed to CMV when they are a child as well as EBV. Usually this won't cause any symptoms when you are a adult because you already have antibodies to it. EBV, sometimes can reactivate like Herpes does. Then it can cause a variety of symptoms like fatigue and perhaps sore throat and/or other things. As for your sore throat and low grade fever. How high is your fever?
Avatar f tn I can sneak a sweet snacks here and there. But not everyone can handle it. My sugars are good I had few high ones but not two high. Hope all goes well for you.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 15 year old and I've been dealing with intrusive thoughts for about a year, though mainly homosexual thoughts there have been sacrilegious thoughts also,(I'm a Christian), when I was younger I never liked guys, only girls. These thoughts absolutely disgust me and drive me insane, I had what I think was a anxiety or panic attack a couple of weeks ago, I felt like I was losing my mind, even thoughts of suicide came into my head.

Avatar f tn m the only person with a spouse with addiction issues but the deep down thoughts.. Like is it me? Is it something I did? Or why does he lie to me? Like its always my fault.. I have lost sight of myself & my needs due to his addiction.. Like I had said my life is a roller coaster and some days are great some days are bad. It just depends on if he is using or not? When they are good I feel like we just sweep the problem under the rug & if I bring anything up its a fight.
